He is smart. He has insurance policy. He hired the brother of 2nd rank recruit in next years class. I am guessing fans will tolerate him for another year to see a one and one potential lottery pick play for a season.

Does anyone go to OSU games? Who will see him?

I hope he and the coaches begin to limit his shots, especially 3-pointers. That said, the dude can MOVE HIS FEET.

Didn't help that Conditt had 2 really nit picked fouls in the first half. Then completely hacked a player for his 3rd. Felt like a Lard type game for him.

Bad games happen, and that was one for Conditt. Hopefully he brushes it off by Saturday. Fortunately, when you have another big go off for 27 largely uncontested, it's not a big deal.

Nixon has generally good defense, but he gets sloppy trying to cut in to passing lanes and chasing bad steal attempts. As far as on-ball defense and positioning goes, he's solid.

Problem is... his lack of offensive production doesn't necessarily balance out the okay-to-good defense. He's a pretty high percentage 2PT shooter, but tends to pass those up for 3's he struggles horribly to make.

Our bigs should go Young, Conditt, then MJ. Young has really been solid all year, Conditt shows potential. MJ is honestly best against lesser opponents and should be used to spell the others. Absolutely has a role and deserves to play, but not like the crazy all Big 12 team many in the off season claimed.

Defensively, Young gets destroyed on PnR. Jacobson is horrible guarding the perimeter and is straight up ole` contesting driving guards; OK on ball guarding in the post. Conditt blocks shots, and OK on ball defense. Not sure how he is guarding PnR or perimeter to be honest, though I suspect he's not great at either yet.

Young is by far our best pick and roll defensive big. and sorry to hit disagree, originally read that Jackson is horrible guarding the perimeter and that was way off.

This year, we've done a terrible job of weathering the storm when it comes to teams going on runs against us. In our lop sided losses, the opposing team went on a run and we would completely fall apart. We have to do a better job of that and that comes on the offensive end and the defensive end. We sometimes let our shooting / scoring droughts affect the defensive end of the court.

The OSU game came down to us gaining a comfortable lead and deciding to be lazy with our shot attempts / control of the ball. Tyrese took a couple of bad shots, Caleb was trying to finally get his, and even Jackson took a shot that probably didn't need to be taken given the time and score. Those types of things are all fixable and those guys doing those things are so young and continue to learn.

We don't have a guy who you know can go get you a bucket when you need one, Tyrese is great but right now, creating his own shot isn't a strength of his. . He can get someone else a great shot but so far, no one was proven they will consistently knock them down. It's tough to stop runs when you don't have a guy like that. I feel like Bolton would be our best option to ISO when we need to stop a run but he's probably not consistent enough yet.

Yes. 100% this. I can't count how many times a team has started a little run, Tyrese creates off a screen or a drive and kicks it to someone for a good shot, and they miss it. It's happened so many times this year and just comes down to poor shooting overall.

Rasir Bolton is still developing. He has a knack for being able to beat his man one-on-one to the basket, but he's careless with the ball at times. He also doesn't have that mid-range game that would expand his abilities a lot. His 3pt shot has gotten better as well, shooting over 40% from deep in the month of January. Him being a threat from beyond the arc is highly important for not only the team, but for his game overall.
