I agree. LSU is stacked and probably wins by a couple TDS. Puts the SEC in the drivers seat. Weird thing is Texas was in a slug fest withLSU and just ran out of gas.
I think it's fairly close this year and it is. Big 10 having 6 teams in the top-25, while the SEC has 5. Both conferences have some abysmal teams at the bottom, and the middle of the conferences is probably better in the SEC.

Also, I wasn't arguing the conference was overall better, I was arguing that playing that schedule back in the day is not easier than playing today's schedule. We consistently got to miss playing out on Texas and OU. We don't get to now.
True, an unbalanced schedule can lead to easy years and tougher years. I was just responding to someone saying the Big12 is tougher, when it isn't. The real problem though is that ISU has to replace a sure W on the schedule vs a Mac school with another P5 opponent now.
They have been doing that forever, and they are smart. If the Big10 was smart they would also move back to a 8 game Big10 schedule as well. Why make it harder on yourself when the SEC will never do that?
Except, you battled a straw man. No one said the big XII is tougher now as a whole. It was mentioned that the big XII is tougher now because of not skipping teams. You basically made up a statement and argued against it.
TV revenue. You cut the amount of conference games and the companies won’t be happy about paying for Michigan versus north Texas.
The Big 12 is nowhere near as tough as it was during its inception 20+ years ago. Back then, it was arguably the toughest conference in the country. It was known as a tough defensive league back then.
