Not exactly sure.
You are being silly if you think the Big12 of the last 4 year is somehow tougher than the Big12 from lets say
97-'05. You had Texas, OU and Nebraska who were all top 10 teams in the Big12. K-State was a power then as well. Over the last 4 year you got OU who is a top 10 team, that is it.

Im going off big XII as we had to play them now and then. We had the easy schedule and the tougher schedule. During Macs best years, Nebraska, kstate and Colorado were all slipping. The south took off around 2000 while the north was the weaker division then. So starting around 2000 we had the north 5 who were weaker than the previous 5 years and then throw on top of that, we alternated playing the three best and three worst teams from the south each two years.

Baylor is currently 8th, Texas finished 9th last year, TCU finished 9th in 2017.

If finishing ranked in the top 25 isn't a good year, have any of CMC's seasons to date been a good year?
We were ranked in a good bowl game playing the #12 team in the country last year. We lost by 2 to them. That's a good overall year for this program.

Baylor is currently 8th, Texas finished 9th last year, TCU finished 9th in 2017.

The year Mac won 9 games, Nebraska won 10 games, K-State won 11 game in the Big12 north. In the South OU won 13 game, and Texas won 9. That is a much, much tougher conference than 2 good teams and a bunch of meh this year in the Big12.

Yeah, but Danny Mac was a hell of a coach. Took the program out of the dumps and made them a very respectable program, and still has the best season in program history. Thank god he's gone. Kinda worried what might have happened if you guys kept him.

Plus, you have to remember that the B12 was pretty good back then with teams like Colorado, Nebraska, and KSU were good to great. Not to mention Texas wasn't a bipolar dumpster-fire. Just think of what Dan could have done with 7-5 type Texas, KSU, Colorado, and Nebraska teams every year.

Probably the same Kurt does without playing OSU, and PSU, and SchUMk once every decade.

I'm not saying that team wasn't better than this team.. Also, we didn't play OU or Texas that year and we didn't even beat K State or Nebraska so what's the point here?

How did we fare against OU and Texas that year........ you are proving my point.

Lol last year Iowa fans won one game against a ranked opponent and you all called it a good year. GTFO.
Iowa went 9-4 with a bowl win over a ranked SEC team and finished the season ranked (legitimately) in the Top 25. They beat two P5 teams with winning records and never got blown out. It was an OK year, made better by a (legitimate) Top 25 ranking.

ISU went 7-6 win a bowl blowout and finished the season unranked (no votes either). Had one win over a winning team.

Not really the same thing, but OK.

Behind you
I mean after 20 years of 8/9/10 win seasons don't you think it's about time Kirk gets his team a Big 10 title?

I agree that the standards/expectations between the two programs are quite a bit different. That said, getting a title in the best conference in college football isn't easy. And I do still consider winning 9-10 games and finishing ranked as good seasons. Not great, but good.

I don't think this year was anything to rant and rave about, but the reality is 7 wins is still a positive for this program. Make fun all you want but it actually is. We want to be better and hold the program to higher standards and we believe Matt can do that.

Good God. If you think the Big 10 is better than the SEC, no one can help you.

Why are you talking about the SEC?

If you want to look at High School stats to justify a recruit you must think that Hogan kid sucks
I don't follow Iowa football recruiting like you do. What is the deal with the "Oregon State Kid"? Why is he already a target of yours?
