Good lord we can’t hit a shot or free throws. Kristen is non existent offensively as is Rae. Joens is battling but missed a bunch of bunnies. Defense is very spotty. Too many easy shots for Iowa.
When you have three players standing around on offense, and make no adjustments on defense when they are getting to the rim at will, the refs are the least of the problems.
i haven’t seen this years team play before tonight. Do we always stand around and not move on offense?
Does the University of Iowa just focus on recruiting unlikeable people for their basketball teams?
This is NOT the same team that I watched play Alabama. I will say, this is a game where we miss Wise! Our D this quarter - woof! U-G-L-Y. Also, it kills your momentum when your best player misses 3 open layups (1 in the 3rd pd and 2 on back-to-back 4th Qtr possessions) with the chance to take/extend a lead.
there’s a big difference between getting beat and playing and coaching uninspired.
when they weren’t recruiting well, and had under talented rosters against everyone, it was a lot easier to watch.
We’ve missed lots of shots, but the hawks have physically beaten on us. We are a finesse team and their team should have at least 56 fouls by now. Their physicality has taken us out of any flow. Two of our top scorers have been horrid tonight. I swear Joens is the only person hustling out there.
