The dispensary near me sells their most expensive bud for $330/oz (the cheapest is $199/oz, or $8/gram). $40k would be just under 8 lbs. After a "bulk discount", let's use Argent's number of 10 lbs.
If I were the smoking type, and if bud were to stay good for perpetuity, I would guess it would take me roughly 15 years to smoke 10 lbs of weed.
For a daily user, $250/month sounds spot on. So Tyson's number that is 160X that seems a bit inflated. But he's never been known to be hyperbolic or anything but a completely sane person, so I'll take him at his word.
What if that is the number it costs per month to supply everyone on the ranch (like his entourage)?
It could be...if he's supplying 100 people for free, then sure. Might explain some of Iron Mike's money problems.

I don't even mess with dry herb much anymore. I get wax and make cartridges. Cleaner high, no smell, and no smoke. Saves me about $100 a month too.

Well that's pretty easy. $10 / g * 1,000 grams/kg * 1/2.2 lbs = $4,545 / pound. Seems about right for a small quantity of top shelf stuff.
Spending more than 150/oz in a legal state is insane. Mike's probably getting his P's for well under 1000.
