What a freaking joke!. $14 MM a year through '30-31 school year. After KU claimed they were, "victimized" by Adidas for funneling money to recruits & family while Self & Asst's had no knowledge. This really reeks.

KU AD, Long: "...We’ve spent months and months and (had) exhaustive conversations about going forward and how we will handle these things in the future and arrived at the conclusion that Adidas is committed like Kansas is to make sure that we abide by NCAA rules and certainly the law of the land..."

Wow, I guess if you're going to spend $14M a year to have a school wear your gear then paying recruits and their families $500K or so per year probably seems OK to make sure they keep winning.

What's gets me is their Asst Coach, Townsend was reported to tell Adidas they need to "land some recruits", but it wasn't admissible into court (for the Adidas - Gassnola trial). What a crock of crap.

“And then Mr. Code says: ‘I know what he’s asking for.’ ... ‘He’s asking for opportunities from an occupational prospective. He’s asking for money in the pocket. And he’s asking for housing for him and the family.’And they go on to talk. And Mr. Townsend says: ‘so, I’ve got to just try to work and figure out a way. Because if that’s what it takes to get him for 10 months, we’re going to have to do it some way.’” Moore then told Kaplan of prior testimony by government witness Thomas “T.J.” Gassnola, a former Adidas consultant."

ISU only getting ~$2mil/year from Nike is a farce.

If ISU keeps its success up, ISU should be getting atleast $5mil/year from Nike.

It's def not enough to pay $$ to families to convince the Zion Williamson's of the world to attend ISU, let alone the Billy Prestons and DeSousas.

They had to take a year off and recruiting suffered for a year but we are committed to this scam we're running going forward. Plain and simple....
