Hopefully he can stay healthy for most of this season.

yeah, that has been a big problem for him. Almost 2 full season missed because of injuries in 3 years. They were so much better when he was on the court early in the season last year when they beat Michigan State and Tennessee.

There is not really a place for players like him in today's NBA. He's a liability on pick and roll defense they don't let you camp out in the paint in the NBA. He also can't shoot outside of the lane.

However, he is the perfect college big for KU's system where they can park him in the lane and cause all sort of problems on both ends. Their record is damn good when he's healthy and playing

I'm honestly just hoping this kid can stay healthy, he's had some awful luck. He's a good player I don't think this changes KU much from last season. Having him back will help but they'll need much more from their guards to counter losing Lawson, Dok alone won't be enough.

Good for the young man. I hope he is healthy.

He is probably first-team all-Big 12 if he is, if not CPOTY.

He'll be an early frontrunner just because most teams won't have anyone big enough to match up with him down low. I don't know about his pro prospects but this is bad news for the rest of the Big 12.

Who else might it be...?

Devon Dotson?
Davide Moretti?
Derek Culver?
Tristian Clark?

Heck, at that point, you start making a case for Haliburton. :p

There might be some other big-time incomers that I am missing, but 9/10 of the first two all-Big 12 teams are gone, if I remember. The race is going to be wide open.

Kuoat Noi has the look of a dude that could be a first teamer. I think he’s going to be really good.

THIS. He has no place in the NBA and he cannot resume basketball activities until June so he cannot even work out for teams to try to convince them. He could either go pro and start muddling through the G League this year or wait a year, get his degree and then have a slightly better chance next year.

Some players simply need to realize that not everyone's peak is at the NBA level. Dok is an excellent college player and will be 1st team all Big 12 if he stays healthy but he's just not an NBA player. Plenty of money to be made overseas if he can stay healthy and if he cannot then he'll at least have a degree that will hopefully be of some use.

But getting Dok back is basically like scoring the best available grad transfer since Kansas fully expected him to be gone. Get DeSousa back, and get a grad transfer or two (20ppg G Rayjon Tucker from Arkansas Little Rock is visiting KU at the beginning of next month) and KU is good again. IF RJ Hampton reclassifies and signs with KU in August then KU will be Top 10 good.

Still lots of offseason to go.

Come on, at least have some attempt at accuracy in your zip. Self has lost in the 2nd game of the weekend 10 of his 15 tourney losses at Kansas, so either pick the Round of 32 (4 times) or the Elite Eight (5 times).

If Self makes the Sweet Sixteen, he usually wins there (10-3 in the Sweet Sixteen in his career).

I am far from predicting anything good from KU yet. They have a bunch of holes in their roster at this point with I think 5 scholarships still to fill. We'll see for the most part what they end up with over the next 5 weeks or so.
