Would be something for the conference if teams won all three championships at play this weekend, WBB, MBB and NIT. I'd say there's a reasonable to good chance of that happening.

By the way, Texas Tech currently has both the AP National Basketball COY and the AP National Baseball COY. Sorry. Had to brag because it's pretty amazing.

You're not wrong and it's really not bragging.

Beard is fantastic and to me seems like a class act. Others here hope he goes to Texas or somewhere. I hope he stays at Tech.

I like it if the Big 12 has good teams all over. Raises the standard for how a program needs to operate and the chances of getting into the tourney are better with a marginal conference record.

Beard elevates Tech into another school that cares about basketball. He is "one of their own" and they have done a nice job packing that big arena the past couple of years. If he moves on, they quickly turn back into their old selves, and then basically it's us and the Kansas schools who really care (WV does at times but not to quite the same level).

I just cant believe this. The ACC was far superior in both men's and womens basketball. How coach K and Muppet didn't win is beyond me. Jimlad.

The ancient one, Sid Hartman or whoever writes under his name, spent his entire column lamenting how Duke and his close friend Coach K weren't in the Final Four in Mpls this weekend and how the national fans got cheated out of seeing Duke and Lion Zion.

Well, I'm giving Baylor (-145 ) a better shot than TxT (+2 v Sparty) to win it all. Kim's team is so big, deep, and talented. But if both win, it will be sweet. Bear down/Guns up!

Good god. What garbage. The below quote kinda sums it up. The author taking a "shot" at Mulkey's clothing and somehow linking it to her alleged beliefs? Really? How primitive and biased. No, no misogynistic agenda here...

"Mulkey’s apparel is interconnected with her overall attitudes and actions, together inscribing the believed importance of normative gender and sexual identities in women’s sport."
