Anyone know who the very tall, very dark man sitting next to Naz at the Championship game was ? Saw him talking to a lot of Iowas State fans in lobby before the game.

I wasn't sure myself, but they were all in the 'family' seats. Great to see Naz; sounds like he had a game the next day, but got permission to travel.
His son looks just like him.
It sure seems like most of the families made it to Kansas City. What a great memory for all fo them to have such a fun 3 days.

Nah, wasn't me. I never left the concession stand. Just kept getting back in line for more high quality all beef weiners.
It may sound selfish saying this but that's part of why Prohm's outreach to former players is so great. Obviously it's just a nice thing to do, but it can't hurt to keep families with basketball lineage close to the program for decades.

Not just basketball. I have a friend who played at Iowa and won a Super Bowl with The Giants. He says he won’t go back because they don’t treat former player well. It’s just a no-brained to make the former athletes feel welcome. Everybody wins.
Along with this, I went back and watched the TV broadcast yesterday and it looked like Shayok's dad (if we're assuming that's him) and Naz were joking around and friendly with each other at one point. Just seems really cool to get all of our players (and their families) connected like that. Prohm is the man
