First "major" golf event of the season!

Top 50 players in the world in attendance. Golf season is officially underway.

I was lucky enough to play TPC Sawgrass a month ago so I'm pretty jacked to watch this year's tournament. The change in date back to the original date should make things interesting. The wind was brutal when I was playing.

Hoping to play Erin Hills this summer.....my uncle lives about 10 minutes away and has offered to take me there. Guess I'd better stock up on balls....

A friend of mine, who golfed TPC Sawgrass with me, golfed Erin Hills a couple years ago. His take away was how easy it was to lose balls even with a caddy.

What did you score? I've only played on one course that was on the tour (Kiawah Island ocean course) and it ate me alive.

I don't keep score when I play. It takes away from the enjoyment for me. I just like taking in the course and try to make shots. Beautiful but challenging course especially with the wind during that time of year.

I've played Deere Run several times which is the only other PGA event course I've played.

A group of us are planning on Pebble Beach next year.

Man, I can't imagine that, but more power to you if it helps you enjoy the game more.

I do keep score religiously, but I also don't sweat the results. I start out trying for a great round, and if it doesn't go well, I shift my focus to just trying to have some good holes here and there.

It's cool seeing Horschel with the early lead. He was out working on his game on the course while we were playing.
