Anyone know where to get a VCR repaired near Ames? I am digitizing some old VHS tapes but my VCR isn't working very well. I've tried cleaning the heads but that isn't helping eliminate the problem.

go to Goodwill and buy a used one for $10.

There are companies that turn old tapes and pictures and CDs into digital files. I'd check into that.
