Tracking the scores of all the games this season, we have averaged 80.2 while giving up 63.9. It stands out that 8 times we have both not scored our average and given more than our average. 7 of those 8 are our losses. The outlier is the 67-64 win over Auburn. Every other game, as long as we either score more than 80 OR give up less than 64 we win (OK, Texas at home giving up 63 would still be a loss).

Anyway, that is a good indicator to watch in game. If we are tracking to hit 80 or give up less than 64, odds are we win. Especially, the 80 as the ladies have only given up 80 points once this season (at Baylor), while they have failed to score more than 64 five times (four were losses).

I'm no mathematician, but I just crunched some numbers. I really like our chances if we score above 80 AND give up less than 64.

The win last night (despite being against KU) was a good one for us. Shots weren't falling, but they were able to keep a bad team from getting close by doing other things right. We'll likely need to do that again in the upcoming few weeks.

Not exactly sure.

What if we score exactly 80 and they score exactly 64? Is that a 50/50 game?

I didn't get to watch the game last night but if the highlights were a good indication of how the game went, it isn't surprising that the game was something of a slog. On pretty much every basket in that highlight clip that was within 7 feet of the hoop the ISU players were having to finish through arms coming down on them or a hip check with practically no whistles. If this was how the game was called it is little surprise that both teams struggled to score.

It was hand to hand combat in the paint...definitely lack of whistles...and yet they would call the smallest of hand checks up top...
