Nothing we didn't already know about us, but nice to read. Snippet below.

The 2018 Valero Alamo Bowl featuring #13 Washington State and #24 Iowa State generated a total economic impact of $52.9 million for San Antonio last year and brought a bowl record 41,578 ticketed out-of-state visitors to town, according to a report conducted by Economic Analytics Consulting, LLC.

This was the first visit to San Antonio for 62% of the out-of-state guests. The report also indicted an average length of stay of 3.4 days and a total fiscal effect of $4.3 million for the city based on visitor spending.

“If you were anywhere in downtown San Antonio during Bowl Week, the amazing impact of the 2018 Valero Alamo Bowl was easy to see,” said Valero Alamo Bowl Chairman Michael Kiolbassa. “With each school winning seven of their last eight games, Washington State and Iowa State and their excited fan bases flocked to San Antonio to enjoy everything that makes our city such a special place. We thank both universities for their support as well as everyone who helped make this such a memorable year highlighted by our partnerships with ESPN, Valero and Visit San Antonio.”

An Alamodome crowd of 60,675 watched Washington State’s thrilling 26-24 victory over Iowa State in person and another 6.1 million watched on ESPN, the #1 and #2 marks among the 33 non-CFP bowl games, respectively.

The wife and I went and had a great time. I'd be curious if we got selected to go there again say next year or the year after how much that would affect the numbers. We'd probably go again.
I would to. I’d really like to go even if we were there next year but probably wouldn’t be able to make it. After the first go I’d like to see about staying on the river walk and going with friends instead of family.

Just got an email with this link. Interesting report.

I met an athletic team from Incarnate Word a few weeks ago and they said that all they saw around town was Iowa State people.

Mrs. Gaggi and I would go back. We had a great time, with the exception of the drunks at the game who were either puking all over the place or trying to start a fight. That, and the guy in the hok gear that they put up on the big screen to taunt us.

As with us taking over Maui, the running joke was "Who's back taking care of Iowa if you're all here?" or something similar.
