NFL is over. No NCAA football. NBA is still regular season. It's cold. It's windy. We get too much snow. It has that make believe holiday to keep the rose economy alive. No good movies in theatres. You get stir crazy for spring.

Will you sign my petition to move Lent back after March Madness? Giving up things like alcohol, pop and cocaine right at the time you need them the most seems wrong. Plus, not eating meat on Fridays when chicken wings exist? WTH? Who eats a salad when the # 3 seed just lost and destroyed your bracket?
So the son was OK since he had broken up. But now I have a follow up. Have a second date lined up this weekend and she said she will just come over and after dinner just watch a movie.
She said she will bring the toppings, cool whip, chocolate syrup and cheese whiz. I figure she wants ice cream sundaes but am totally confused with the cheese whiz. Do people put cheese on ice cream? What flavor should I get that goes with that?

Is cheese whiz still a thing? You might want to check the expiration date on that jar?
Grabbed a leftover waffle for a late breakfast, maybe will be lunch just a bit ago. What is your go to addition? I like raspberry or cherry pie filling. Butter? Syrup? Syrup but a different flavor than regular maple? Whipped cream?

My teenage daughter has a boyfriend. He's nice, polite, friendly (without being overbearing), gets good grades, takes advanced classes, has a decent haircut, and dislikes the University of Iowa. However, his goal in life is to be a bicycle mechanic. Do I just chalk this up to youthful innocence, accept the fact that if the relationship continues he'll just leach off my daughter's work ethic, or point out to my daughter that this is an underwhelming career goal?
