No info for the op but just wanted to give a shout out to Dubuque Hempstead 132 lber Joe Pins. Don't have a personal connection to the kid or anything but he's got one of the best wrestling names, if not the best, ever.

He’s in the finals tonight, but I’m not sure he should be. Won a 1 point decision against Brock Espalin of DSM East in the semifinals. He “ran” the entire 3rd period. Not one shot, while Espalin took close to 6.

So Austin Anderson's brother Trever is in the finals at 106 in 3A for Ankeny. Austin wrestled for Iowa State a few years ago. Just a freshman I think

My mistake. Was Austin coaching him?

Where is Drake Doolittle of Webster City going to college? In finals at 120 in 2A. Think I read an article about him & was like a 4.0 student and #1 in class and has every wrestling record at Webster City.

I agree. If he had signed with Iowa everyone would be raving about him. I think he will be 184 in college. Shapiro probably ends up at 197. And Cody Fisher is having a great tournament also. And he has another year. Greenlee is a future HWT. prospect.
With Aden Reeves in this class. Iowa State got the two best recruits in the 2019 class out of Iowa.

Not exactly sure.
I would have like to have seen him match up with Christensen from SEP sometime during the year. The 195 weight seemed to be a little lighter in talent this year than years past.

I think people are pretty high on Broderson. He hasn’t done much nationally to gain a high national ranking, but people in Iowa are well aware. Even the Iowa fans.

Curious to see if Henrich from Akron-Westfield (160) can finish out the season without allowing a point.

Greenlee from Ames looks to have a lot of potential. His dad was a great wrestler for UNI back in the day.

Yeah, he spent a grand total of 8 min. 56 sec. on the mat the entire tournament (3 falls and a tech). I think he needs to go seek an upgrade in competition. I'm excited to see what he can do at ISU.
