Great Coaches recruit to need, and this staff does that as well as any coaching staff ISU has ever had in my lifetime...I found it quite instructive last night when Jon Heacock said that they recruit guys, who can play 2 or 3 different positions on defense.....Sounds like their ultimate team goal is to win the Big 12 conference title and a spot in the Natl Playoffs....With this group of coaches, there might not be any limits to what they can accomplish here at ISU.

I love me some ISU and Matt Campbell, but I feel like the y-axis on this graph is very misleading. We're talking about a 0.05 improvement, right?

Is a 0.8557 a good rating for a team? Maybe I'm too casual of a fan for this article, but I don't know whether to be proud of that number or ashamed.

I wonder what the charts for big 12 or national rankings would look like over the same time span

.5 is a huge bump in recruiting, especially in the composite. It just means the talent level on the team is getting better and better. Instead of finding a couple hidden gems in the class, they're more likely to have many more key pieces to build around as well as DEPTH.

For comparison, Texas is #3 recruiting class with .9184. Purdue is 25th with .8663.

It's 0.05. And I know that "line going up = good." I guess I'd be curious what Clemson's composite is. And what Drake's is.

IMO more important than the upward trend in recruit rankings is this staffs ability to develop player once they get to campus. It seems like our depth is much better. We go 2-3 players deep at most positions instead of maybe 1.

Also our retention seems better. I attribute this to our core recruiting area being the upper Midwest and complimenting with TX, CA and FL.
