Arizona athletic director Dave Heeke said in a statement that Miller “fully supports” the decision to fire Phelps, but Goodman would not be surprised if Miller is the next one to go.

After all, Phelps is Miller’s second assistant coach to be suspended/fired for misconduct. Ex-assistant Book Richardson was fired before last season after his involvement in the college basketball corruption scandal, and he recently pleaded guilty to bribery and could spend 18 to 24 months in prison.

NCAA Bylaw 11.1.1 states that the “the head coach will be held accountable for violations in the program unless he or she can rebut the presumption of responsibility.”

I hope that Arizona gets hammered for not being proactive in ridding themselves of this slime.

These cheating programs need to pay the piper

Just a shame more Nike schools aren't being investigated. I guess the Adidas bag men and asst coaches were just dumber.

Oh well, start with the cheating Wildcats and Jayhawks.

Some late additions to the transfer portal? And given what's being unearthed about the program, would you want anyone from there?

Hell, if they’re only costing $5k/month, I’ll cover a few days for a guy that can score.

so that great recruiting class, is Zona really going to get all of those players despite what is going on? If that class materializes and Miller stays on, then college basketball is a freaking joke. Of course we kind of already knew that anyway.

If hes not fired at some point in May then I'll bet that hes still there and so is that recruiting class....which would be absolutely the most ridiculous thing ive seen in a long time.

If he's not, welcome to the Wild West. Everyone could cheat with impunity, and sue the dog **** out of the NCAA if they intervene.
