I don’t much about Ole Miss basketball other than they recently built a nice new arena. Anyone know anything about their squad?

Should, but they do return quite a bit.

Quite a bit from bad is still bad. And their leading scorer still hasn't decided if he is coming back. I mean there is always the chance the lose on the road but Iowa State should definitely win.

Old Miss is not a "sexy" match up and has the feel of the Noon ESPNU TV spot.
Coming off last season we shouldn't have expected a better match-up and the positive is I rather play a bottom half of the SEC team in January on the road for the challenge with a good chance of grabbing the W during conference season.

We return "quite a bit from bad" too. But everyone is confident we will be much improved. Whats the difference?

Quite a bit of difference.
1) ISU had a lot of injury issues.
2) ISU is replacing the players it did lose with better players, i.e. Shayok, Jacobson, Horton-Tucker, Griffin. Whereas they don't even have equal replacements for the guys they did lose.

I don't know anything about Ol'Miss. I assume people on the outside looking in would say the same of us. We don't know if Wigginton will be back either and that's a huge hole to fill.

ISU has the 27th ranked recruiting class coming in, Ole miss is 56th.
Not sure if they have any transfers coming in, but I bet they aren’t as good as Shayok and Jacobson.
