Very weird timing on his part to leave KU. Didn't even go on the trip overseas! It makes you wonder if he just couldn't cut it or if KU has someone else lined up? Eitherway, looks like KU will again be playing some small ball this year.
They'll have more talented front court players, but still won't be very deep.Very weird timing on his part to leave KU. Didn't even go on the trip overseas! Reading twitter, some KU fans are saying he had a bad attitude and it was a "mutual" decision to leave.
Others are saying he was kicked off to make room for Marvin Bagley since he's reclassifying to 2017.
Am I allowed to wait to answer until after they sign Marvin Bagley?Gee.....which one seems more likely?
6-2 185 lb guard
Averaged 12.9 ppg 3.0 rpg and 3.4 apg in 31 minutes per game in two years at North Texas.
6.3 ppg 1.8 apg in one year at Texas A&M. Was a top 100 recruit out of HS and 7th best PG in the 2012 class.
We would be 100% on board with the same decision if it were ISU.Gee.....which one seems more likely?

Well according to a QC sports writer who is a big Hawk homer, Hoiberg never did any recruiting, even for transfers. I guess all of the transfers came banging on our door, begging to play for ISU.I will remain on my high horse, sir, until you can prove otherwise.
Same old recycled hawkeye garbage, yet when you look at Iowa State and Iowa over the past 7 years the results speak for themselves.Well according to a QC sports writer who is a big Hawk homer, Hoiberg never did any recruiting, even for transfers. NBA blogger Keith Smith recently tweeted this quote from Chicago Bulls coach Fred Hoiberg, reflecting on his days as a college head coach at Iowa State: “I hated recruiting. I absolutely ‘f'ing’ hated recruiting. In the NBA, it is just coaching. No other stuff. Just coaching.’’
Sometimes not even that.
It didn’t seem like Hoiberg did all that much recruiting at Iowa State anyway. The Cyclones built much of their team around transfers from other schools, a ploy that has been picked up and maybe even accelerated by his successor, Steve Prohm.
Iowa State has collected five transfers since the end of last season and could very well have three graduate transfers in the starting lineup next season.
