    2017 Trick or Treater's jokes

My junior high aged son has used the same joke the last few years. When asked if he knows a joke he says, "Yeah, Iowa's schedule."

    Coach Campbell

There's a good chance that we'll see more conference realignment coming in the mid 2020's. If your school isn't relevant in football there's a chance you could end up in conferences like the MAC or Mountain West. Matt Campbell is making ISU relevant and appears to have a formula for success that...

PODCAST: The Big 12 with Dave Wannstedt

On the home page you said that Wannstedt was the head coach of the Cowboys at one time. I'm pretty sure he was only an assistant there.

As if Hoiberg didn't have enough to worry about.....

Stephen A. Smith was on "Mike and Mike" this morning and said a Bull's player referred to Fred as a "third tier assistant coach" when talking about his NBA knowledge and coaching ability. Smith said that Fred is an outstanding collegiate coach and hinted he was in over his head. He said he'll...

    *New Uniform Thread*

These were the uniforms back in the late 70's when I became a fan so I'd love to see these brought out some more. I also think we need to highlight some sort of Cyclone logo. We're the only team in major college sports with that mascot and I would like to see us play that up more.

Win ISU football shirts & a Pendleton blanket! (CF sponsor Kagavi's final contest)

Re: Win ISU football shirts & a Pendleton blanket! (CF sponsor Kagavi's final contest I'm in. There was a blurb about your blanket on the uni-watch blog Wednesday.

Let's talk about ISU logos that feature an actual Cyclone

As I recall when Pollard introduced the I State logo he said recruits would look at the old cardinal-in-the-funnel logo and confuse us with Louisville and other schools with a cardinal mascot. That was poor brand recognition if that's the case. While I like Cy as much as any fan, we are the...

Best thing you've ever won/Seen someone win

When the old "Jock" sports radio station was still around in Des Moines, Marti Terrell started a contest. Marti, Ken Miller and Heidi Soliday would get together on Friday mornings back in 1999 and make pro football picks each week. You registered online for the contest and all you had to do was...

I'm Cheering for the Big XII

I did find myself rooting for Coach McCarney to beat KSU last night. Normally I root for Big XII schools, but I wanted Dan to pull off the big upset last night.

No mention of the Hawkeye player WEEPING at the end??

How's the old saying go? "It aint over until the kicker cries."

Best, most memorable sporting event you've seen in person?

    1. ISU beating Okie St. last year. 2. Nebraska beating ISU in 2010 (was best game I'd ever been to until No. 1, even though we lost). 3. Super Bowl XXXIV. Kurt Warner beats the Titans. Comes down to the last play.

What irritates you on the highway?

Sorry if this has been mentioned. Just got on and didn't want to read through all the posts. I hate when someone is going down the acceleration lane (actual name, not an on-ramp) going 40 - 45 mph when you need to be merging with vehicles traveling 70+.

    Rhoads vs McCarney

The thing that's always jumped out at me was the lack of interest around the country toward Mac when it came to coaching vacancies. For someone that helped turn a losing program around he illicited no interest at all from AD's looking to fill HC positions. In his short tenure, Rhoads has been...

    Fear the 'Stache!

It's actually a fumanchu (sp.?) and not a handlebar. You see handlebars on guys in barbershop quartets or on HOF baseball player Rollie Fingers.
