I got ASU 9-0, KSU 8-1 in Big12. ISU also loses @ TCU. Narrow wins against BYU and EIU at home. Need to counter or contain Iowa's kr/pr or captain Kirk's Darkside will win.

Then what Hok troll is this?

Why not just ho to the ISR forums?

You can see my username.

If you're upset with my opinion that Iowa State has an easy schedule, especially now that BYU's QB is out, I'm not sure what to tell you. Maybe provide some evidence to the contrary.

FYI Hok trolls trolling ISU tend to be put in a time out for not being able to hold themselves back from purposely toxifying non-ISR forums.

I know that. I was banned before for not being an Iowa State fan.

I'm here because I actually like your fan base and have mad respect for your coach.

If that gets me banned again. So be it.

I think KSU, ASU, and at TCU are the toughest 3 right now. All have returning QBs, and were good to some level last year.

ASU has a lot of returning production in addition to Leavitt. Glad they are in Ames, but still will be a tough game. Maybe it will be cold and/or Leavitt will be dinged up by then.

KSU will really want revenge after 2 losses in a row, and Johnson will be as healthy as he will be all year. Hopefully he will still be in WTF mode every 7th play.

TCU is on the road and Hoover is back. Similar to ASU, but less returning production and not as good last year. That's a late season game, right after 2 home games with BYU and ASU. Tough spot.

OL and special teams critical this year- they won all the close games last year. Have to duplicate that feat or could end up 6 or 7 wins.

Cyclone fan here, I think you are being a little sensitive to a comment about the schedule. He hasn’t done or said anything bad.

I don't think it's sensitive to let Hok trolls know that trolling is for the ISR forums.

That's not why you were banned. There's a place here for you and your Haydenism--start any thread you want in the ISR.

Interesting Travel Numbers

So with our trip to Ireland I wondered how this affects our total travel (along with the road trip to Jonesboro). Then I compared to to UCF's travel for an extreme example.

ISU
total mileage w/ Dublin: 7,162
avg mileage w/ Dublin: 1,193
total w/o Dublin: 3,213
Avg w/o Dublin: 643
Big 12 only total: 2,648
Big 12 only Avg: 662

UCF (5 road games, all conf games)
Total mileage: 7,147
Avg mileage: 1,429

*rounded to nearest mile

Watching this weeks two guys with Jake Brend and Derek Duke got me inspired to do my own rankings. How do you rank them?
1. Kansas State in Dublin - weird conditions playing in Ireland. Not sure how each team responds but win this one and its a huge start to the year.
2. BYU - Retzlaff returns from and should be even better. BYU comes off an impressive year where they ended up by smoking Colorado.
3. Arizona State - The bad man at RB is gone, but Leavitt returns. Revenge will be on the mind.
4. Iowa - We should be the better team but we haven't won at home since 2011 and Iowa usually pulls some voodoo out of their ass.
5. Kansas - They have been a bad matchup for us and Daniels is back.
6. @TCU - Josh Hoover is a good QB and will be on the road.
7. @ Colorado - Boulder was never an easy place to play, though they lose their two best players from last year.
8. @Oklahoma State - The Gundy era seems to be at the end. I have a hard time seeing them being as bad as they were last year though.
9. @Cincy - From the beginning the Satterfield hire felt bad to me. I think this is his last year.
10. Arizona - Again, not impressed with their coach and they lost their best player.
11. @Arkansas State - Some PTSD from the Ohio game a few years ago, but we should handle them.
12. South Dakota - Not a bad FCS opponent and it will be weird circumstances coming back from Ireland, but we should handle business.
I think it's funny how back when I was in school we def played the Iowa game like it was our Superbowl. And it def seems like that has flipflopped to Iowa now yet their educated fanbase still believes otherwise.

A lotta people seem high on Baylor. (Vegas, too, apparently).

Maybe they're on to something. Maybe not. Maybe "maybe."

Edit: It doesn't seem like it's a "schedule thing," either. BU has:

Auburn
at SMU
Arizona State
Kansas State
at TCU
at Cincinnati

Having some of those at home won't hurt and of course if you can do well in non-con that has to help profile. Also, about half of schedule appears non-threatening, so wins could pile up quite easily.

That Auburn game will be huge for one of those 2 teams.

I don't know what they have returning but Baylor played some decent ball toward the end if last season.
