99.9% of people have a white shirt. They aren't making you go buy a white T-shirt to wear on a 90 degree day. Go to Goodwill and buy one for .50 and you will have it for next year or if they have a white out during basketball. Just have fun with it. I am glad you wear the cardinal and gold when they have those days.
We went down to Cy's Locker room and purchased ours last night. Nice quality shirts, Nike, and we could afford it. Truthfully never thought twice about it.

Go Cyclones

I'm at wits end with "college" sports. I only continue to attend and support for now because the likes of Campbell and TJ and how ISU is way above average with athletes at ISU still being a little about attending the college and loyalty. There are enough fans everywhere getting fed up I would expect drops in attendance/support to increase exponentially.

I don’t follow your transition from paragraph one to paragraph two.

Duh!
Some current numbers for everyone:

Cyclone Club donors-6,000
We Will donors-4,500

I'm guessing that's a lot of the same folks. I think you're correct in that these folks largely can't continue to do it on their own (we're already seeing some regression on our end numbers wise) and we will need new donors to stay competitive especially as the SEC and Big Ten siphon more of the dollars. But totally understand it's a personal decision, just wanted to provide some info.
Is the CC number still 6K….thats what it was years ago. Brutal. No doubt that a large percentage of WW donors are the same.

Just curious what would be your preferred method to share about NIL? Honestly want your feedback because I hear both sides of people getting tired of being asked and people saying they know nothing about NIL and how they can support.
It's not you and WeWill, it's the whole landscape. When the guy from Barstool says he'll just buy a QB for $3m/year it shows me we'll never keep up in this race to the bottom. What's stopping a guy like Musk from simply giving a program 100m/year for players. That team would never lose. Unless and until the landscape becomes more equitable like the NFL, it's a losing battle.

As for We Will, are you prohibited from accepting money from the school directly? If not, I bet more people would gladly pay their annual donations knowing a portion is going to WeWill

Yes, for now. When NIL goes inside athletic departments that will obviously change. So point being any donation to the Athletic department or even buying tickets is helpful in the NIL space as well.

I dont know if it's possible but more information at games. So many people don't know about NIL or the good it does. I feel way better about my NIL donation than anything else Cyclone related I spend my money on.

Interesting, thanks. I might be the only one who cares, but we know the budget of the AD. We know where our donations are going. We know what each coach makes. There is some comfort in the transparency. WeWill gives money to the players, and the leadership is certainly well above board with legendary Cyclones, but there is no transparency. Again, not complaining about WeWill specifically, but when one entity says "here is specifically where you donations go" and the other is "just trust us". What would a typical person give to if they could only chose one?

Totally understand and happy to share info with any potential donor. We just don’t like plastering individual amounts players are making for obvious reasons. Feel free and email me at [email protected]

It's been great for everyone of my business clients too.

To be fair, Iowa isn't doing great relative to most of the country

Thanks for the feedback! We are somewhat limited by our in stadium info as Iowa State’s corporate partner Learfield charges us $50,000 for the info we are able to share in the stadium (I.e. the signage on the scoreboard) and the pizza in the stadium. So any increased exposure costs US dollars that we want to allocate to players as Learfield controls the stadium advertising.

It's kind of ******** that Learfield dictates and charges what ISU can advertise.

I know stuff will change if you all are rolled into Athletics....but wild how what would be in the best interest of ISU Athletics (you all getting publicity to support student athletes, be competitive) costs....but if we were better because of good athletes their ability to sell ads to outside companies would increase. (I know, I know, it's how the contract is with Leerfield)

ISU's growth in enrollment the last 20 years has created A LOT of fans/donors. But most of us are in our 20/30's, far from the best years to be a major donor...
I still remember getting a Foundation call like 2 days after graduation and asking for a donation of like a grand. I was like WTF.

(I did become a lifetime member of Alumni Assoc though)
