I suggested that we should customize Sweet Caroline by singing "I - S - U," rather than "buh buh buh."

And that people in the lower level of the south endzone should stomp their feet when there are big defensive plays on that end. Ben Bruns said that it was built of metal so that it could be loud, So far, we haven't maximized it for the intimidation factor that Campbell wants in the stadium.

That would require people in the Sukup club to actually do something resembling caring about the game, which will never happen. They’re happy to drink their beer and sit on their hands all game

This take will certainly not go over well here, but the band needs to play less during the game IMO. OU had the best atmosphere of any stadium I have been to and they pumped in a bunch of music over the sound system. It got that place rocking

I'm anxious for this as the prior system was just not good. And I agree with the comment about less band. No offense to them, but they don't get the crowd pumped up. 3:30 time outs seems like an eternity some games - they need good content on screens and good pump-up music beginning 60 seconds left in timeout (at a minimum) to get the crowd going.

See.... I can understand your point,..... it is kind of a weird song? Yes. Is it kind of cheesy? Yes. But Juicy Wiggle has a bit of history to it. Iowa State was down big, Iowa State scored, Juicy Wiggle was played and the place went nuts and an epic comeback occurred. And so it began. Personally what is embarrassing - for me - is how Iowa State wants to stamp Sweet Caroline as a tradition and attempts to call it their own. I find that embarrassing. EVERY sporting venue from high school basketball, farm team baseball, minor league hockey, college football to professional basketball plays Sweet Caroline at some point in the game/match.

Zero chance we could get a significant percentage of people to change what's said during Sweet Caroline. It's too engrained across the country to scream "buh buh buh" during the chorus.

As for the end zone idea, I like it, but I don't think the right fan demographic is common enough in that area for something so boisterous.



Regarding the survey, as a non-ticket holder I'm curious what was on it. Does anyone recall the questions?

If they put "I - S - U" on the video boards at the right times, I think people would catch on.

Bucky does a thing like this at the end of halftime and it's very cool.

But UW's game atmosphere is about 96 X better than ISU to start with so it's not surprising they win that aspect too.

The UW experience is overrated, except for the "5th Quarter" after the game. That is amazing.
