Reality here is. We just have to be better offensively to really be elite. We can be really good, but you have to be able to do both. That's the challenge tj has really.

We held them to 36 points which is right on schedule. Probably is I think we have to hold them to less than 30 in the 2nd half even if we turn it around in a big way offensively.

It's a numbers game at this point, even best case scenario. That's asking a lot. Illinois has not been good from 3 and WORSE from the free throw line. We need to make it even worse than that!

Other problem here is, Illinois had a week to get ready. They know what to do.

You can criticize the offenses all you want but the bottom line is all these shots they are missing tonight they were making in KC. Defense by Illinois isn't any better than what they saw in KC. Kinda how they were playing at the end of the regular season but they aren't playing UCF or K states tonight so they are not going to win unless Milan and Gilbert really heat up.in the 2nd half.

Butt Pucker time. Get them to within 5 and they will start thinking about their shots NEEDING to go in instead of this "whatever, look at that I just bounced one in off two guys' heads. Good for me," crap.
