It looked to me like Tang was pointing up into the corner section, not even the section right behind the bench. I think the guy is crazy. Next year, every Iowa State fan must pull out and point their cell phone at the KS bench during each and every timeout or I will be disappointed in us.

Or have the managers on mop duty dress up like Inspector Clouseau

Like when we lost @ BYU recently, yes there were some questionable calls, but we lost by 15 points, it wasn't a close game. Or we lost @ OU, it was close for most of the game and we even had the lead late, maybe the 50/50 calls weren't distributed 50/50, but they closed well and we didn't and lost by eight, that's not from officiating. We got outplayed, it happens.

I barely noticed officiating in our OU road loss (or @BYU or the two losses in the tournament). @OU and @BYU were stressful annoying games to watch but it wasn't like officiating was some huge hurdle for either team to overcome.

Second half of TCU win is the one game this year where we definitely had to overcome officiating more than our opponent did. Against KSU it was objectively horrible officiating most of the game but if they took off the purple tinted glasses they'd see some absolutely crushing calls that did just much damage to ISU as the calls they are upset about. If we had lost the game people would be going nuts about King's fifth foul that was two KSU players running into each other and flopping while taking a basket away from ISU.

An SI reporter is now spreading the conspiracy theory

Here's what I can't quite figure on this. Your average basketball timeout is, what, 2 minutes? So in the course of that 2 minutes someone is going to take a picture, send it to a staff member, that staff member is going to review their phone , figure out what they are looking at, explain it to a member of the coaching staff (because you obviously can't just show them a picture on your phone mid game) and they are going to draw something up to stop what they've seen? That makes absolutely no sense.

Not to mention, the cell service in Hilton is garbage.

I mean, technically timeouts are a minute or 30 seconds by rule. I suppose media timeouts may be a little longer. There is just no way you could feasibly do any spying and coach your team in 60 seconds. All their fans seem to think it's more just recording the huddle to get an overall sense of the gameplan, which would become pretty evident from just, you know, watching the damn game. Who knows.

They are off their rockers with this stuff and the more attention it gets the worst these morons are going to look because it is getting to the point where the universities are going to have to address it in some way. You've got several news articles out about it now, and both coaches are going to get asked lots of questions about it by the media.

Pete Mundo put this out yesterday. Here is the last line of the article:

"Oh and for those wondering, Iowa State is 12-0 at home and 2-2 on the road this season. And if nothing else, it’s a great, new chapter for Farmageddon on the hardwood."

Oh a college basketball team is better at home than on the road? No ******* ****, Sherlock.

Anything with that quoted text isn't really an article, just a message board moron pretending to be part of the media.

I guess we can go back and void all of KSU's wins all the years (most years) they had a way better record at home than on the road.

ROFL that's about the dumbest thing I've ever heard.

For those wondering, Kansas State is 10-1 at home and 2-2 on the road this season.

TTU, Houston, Kansas, and Baylor are all undefeated at home this year too, they have road records of 1-2, 2-2, 2-2, and 1-2 respectively.

These purple kansas puds need to let it go. You lost get over it.

They wish it was a well called game? So do we.

Great! Just fixing the single worst call of the game puts 2 points on the board for ISU, gives them back a fouled out starting forward, gives them back the second best free throw shooter on the team to close out a close game in the final two minutes.

Right? I mean, look at the away records in big 12 so far this year.

Only one team has a winning record. Only one team past that has a .500 record and they've only played 2 road games. They'll have a tough task staying above .500 with a trip to Norman tomorrow.

Winning road games in the big 12 is never an easy task.

I tried listening to Mundo for a bit and I found I didn't care for his podcasts at all.

Can anyone give me instances of ISU players flopping? I'm a member of a couple of their Facebook groups and they said ISU should have been called for numerous flopping technicals and are known to flop alot.

That's a first for me and I've watched pretty much every TJ game the last 3 years
I don't believe we flop a lot, but the way our guards throw their heads back whenever bumped certainly looks coached to me.

Texas has a winning away record. According to this pic
