I understand purple-kansas fans being upset about the Milan call. Bad calls happen all game to both teams but when they happen very late in the game you don't have much chance to recover/respond, you're just screwed. But I think that play was technically a foul (hard to see in real-time from one angle), and when you lose by 10+, one foul call wasn't the difference-maker no matter when it occurred.

The spying/filming s*** is just that, along with the accusations of throwing things and racial slurs, none of which appears to be substantiated. I'm sure they have lots of offline fans who are fine and reasonable people just like every fanbase but their online contingent in my experience seems to think they never lose a game honestly and thinks they're blue-blood status in football and MBB. Delusional, the lot of them.

^^^ re: ISU flopping: Lipsey has a great LeBron-style head-flop although I rarely see him getting calls with it. Jaz Kunc was the über-flopper although he's of course not on the team this year. Can't think of any obvious and critical flops we did but I'm of course a big homer so such things don't stick out to me.

I've noticed that the people that don't understand the premise of safely falling on the basketball court are often louder critics of floppers.
Keshon drew a couple on-ball charges last night that I recall. The 2nd one he allowed to really push him back and he, instead of just crumpling and hitting the floor flat, pushed himself backwards as he was hitting the floor so that he slid several feet backwards. This way the shock and force of his body's collision with the floor doesn't go straight to his body like it would if he just went limp and allowed the other players force to knock him over.
To an unaccustomed eye, it will look like he's overselling and acting.

The offensive foul happened 100%.
Almost every offensive foul requires the defender to sell it to some degree. That's how refs have called it for decades, so that's how the game must be played.

Can anyone give me instances of ISU players flopping? I'm a member of a couple of their Facebook groups and they said ISU should have been called for numerous flopping technicals and are known to flop alot.

That's a first for me and I've watched pretty much every TJ game the last 3 years
Couple of years ago Jaz picked up 2 or 3 flopping Ts. He got better at controlling his foul reactions.

I really think we take charges better than most teams. Jaz Kunc was a charge magnet. Did he embellish it? I don’t know. But there is risk of a blocking foul when you put yourself in that position. It takes guts to do that.

Gilbert is really getting the head-flop down to a science. I thought for sure he was going to get called a couple of times last game.

Ahhh...the classic person threw a fit and has no excuse for those actions, so pull out the someone yelling racial slurs card. Like the 500 people around the person yelling that would have been ok with it or not reported it. I am not saying these situations don't happen because they still do, but this card gets played a bit too much, IMO. especially with the technology that people have these days. everything is recorded.

and the spying...jeez, this has really gotten to a new level of excuses.

as far as the calls. have they not played a conference road game before? not uncommon to have an uneven foul count. happens to ISU all the time.

and this is always fun to watch if you bored. (K-state, KU brawl)

What is the rule on this? The Kstate player isn't squared up and is clearly stepping on MM's foot. I always thought this was a foul. Anyway, this is what cost kstate the game along with 1.4 seconds in the first half. I really hope the rest on this site are beginning to dislike kstate half as much as I do. Believe me what you're reading on the internet isn't just a few loose cannons. Most of them are like what we're seeing. Cool one's are an exception. I apologize to that 1%.
I think it's been mentioned like 9 times, but he's not stepping on his foot, maybe still a foul though especially given how the game was called.
