I get what you are saying, but 25% of a low number is still a low number. Why be miserable for 20 years for that risk. My cardiologist consult is tomorrow. I'm guessing I will be put on a different statin.This source says stains reduce the risk of heart attack or stroke by 25%, which to me is more than a little extra risk. And to not just stop taking them without consult. There are lots of other free internet sources also, if you choose to rely upon them instead of the paid advice of your physicians.
