Front end alignment

There is a little place on 3rd and Ankeny Blvd. We took our Jeep there and they treated us well. But, I know a lot of people like the shop on 1st by Bandana's BBQ.
Hoops, it will be a four wheel alignment because your daughter's car is front wheel drive. If you can find someone willing to do only the front, go for it, most will not. Before you spend the $100 or so for the alignment, check the air pressure in the tires. A low tire can make a small car pull to one side as badly as being out of alignment.
Make sure you get a FOUR WHEEL ALIGNMENT. Front wheel drive cars don't like just a front end alignment. Your tires will get chewed up if the backend isn't aligned as well. :yes:
Thanks guys 4 wheels it is....I told her if she hadn't slammed the curb and broke an alloy wheel she wouldn't have this expense.
The place on Ankeny Blvd (near Long John Sivers) is excellent. They are extremely fair and very trustworthy.
T&R Automotive in Indianola (Highway 92 east) or Simmons Frame and Alignment on Howard (NE Corner of 92 and Howard) also in Indianola are both excellent and in fact this is a specialty of both Tom Page (T&R) and Mark Simmons. I have had both do work for me. Both are very good price wise and will not rip you off like others. AVOID THE DEALERSHIPS !!!!!!!!! Otherwise you will be ripped off.
Here's some other advise for anyone with a similar situation in another area.
I started out finding an insurance agent that I trusted - helped that he was an ISU grad.
Early on I asked him for references on 2 or 3 body shops that he trusted - guys who have experienced paint guys who can match finishes - not some kids just out of vocational school.
I followed this trial and have worked with the same guy for over 15 satisfied years. I asked the body shop guy for advise on alignment. He was honest and said that he doesn't mess around with wheel alignments in his shop. He would rather focus on having the best frame, fabrication, and paint equipment available. He sends all of his alignment work to the guy down the street who specializes in brakes, shocks, mufflers, etc. The alignment guy knows his stuff, appreciates the partnership, and sends body work back the other way.
In general, I prefer getting advise from guys who base their livelihood on keeping customers satisfied in the long run. An individual friend, relative, or neighbor might know about one or two good or bad experiences. The guys who work in related fields everyday hear about the entire spectrum of work and business practices.
