I'm not willing to write off the remaining road games just yet. Cyclones match up reasonably well against KSU, UT and BU.
Great win!

Agree on the road games but I suspect we can all agree they are all unlikely. The good thing is, if we protect Hilton we will be OK, and playing with house money. Have not done the math, but if you think the conference title is possible, then you might need to win all three - two for sure.

I bitched about the officiating the last couple games, so I'll point out that it was pretty well done tonight, knowing the folks inclined to white knight for the stripes won't need to come in here and stink up the joint. <jimlad>

I wasn't able to watch the game tonight but heard Grill didn't have a particularly good game...did he come off the bench tonight? Maybe that effected him if that's the case.

The good:

- Kunc played a near perfect game. Offense, shooting, FTs, defense and rebounding were all outstanding. And he wasn't picking up stupid fouls to reduce playing time. Arguably the best overall game performance we've seen from any player this year.
- Bob. Played within his abilities. Low volume offense with sensible kickouts. If he does this consistently it helps a ton.
- Tre King. Effort and tenacity were off the charts. Just wish he would have better awareness around the rim, but a great game.
- Free throw shooting.

The bad:

- Shooting guards. Gabe and Grill were not good. Kal had some nice runners at the end of the game.
- Turnovers. Too many mind numbing turnovers, many off of lazy or telegraphed passes.
- Defensive miscues. Overall our defense was okay, but the result was propped up by TCUs Jones like FT shooting. Lots of guys fixating on the ball and losing their man (Gabe was bad with this), some suspect transition D, and too much over-helping when it wasn't necessary. Still too many senseless fouls. Shoon took himself out of the game by doing this.
-Too many loose ball blunders. Just grab the ball.
- General sloppiness. After the early big lead, we played some really sloppy ball.

I think it's going to take all three, but who really knows. I think Baylor is locked in right now and hopefully the season ender in Waco is for all the marbles.

Came off the bench. He had trouble getting open and was forcing his shots. Then, when he was open, be missed and missed terribly. Extremely in effected and had reduced minutes (Watson ate some of his mins).

Agreed. The officiating was as good as you could hope for in 2023. Solid job by the crew tonight.

I am not writing them off as L's, but those are 3 difficult places to go into a get a victory. Possible, sure it is, but the two home games are the ones we have to win. Winning one of the road games is the cherry on top.

3.
Lets make some free throws tonight.

2.
I think we win this one. I don't see Otz tolerating anything less than complete, cult-like adherence to the toughness and team ball he's preached since the day he arrived.

1. Giving this one the nod because of the Jaz mention

Get Kunc back in game shape. Make 75% of FT. Make 100% of front end of 1 & 1 FT. A win by one point would work for me.

TCU such a hot/cold team. Make your shots, they can't run and you can really put it to them. Miss your shots, they get out and run and get buckets, and they can really put it to you.

They could lose 1st round of the tournament to a hot shooting double-digit seed, or beat a 1 seed in the 2nd round, just depends how the game flows.

I get the feeling Miles will come back when the games matter more.
