do you feel there is any "line" or that sportsmanship plays a role? or is that antiquated, all fair in competition and entertainment?
All is fair within the written real rules.

I'm down with this in theory as well. Haven't checked the rule books, but I feel just two years ago, what Caleb/Osun are doing and what Omaha did to the student section draws a T almost every time. And I am saying unwritten rules aren't rules, and if someone gets upset over a violation a something that really isn't a rule then who cares.
If we were pressing them, game-on.. If we weren’t pressing then you’re asking to start something. You see it in NBA games all the time. Hell, Zion did it like two months ago I think and it caused a big stir.Just hypothetical: visiting team is up 10 in OT after getting 3-4 very questionable calls in their favor in last minute of regulation to even send the game to OT. Visiting player gets the ball and runs uncontested into front court and dunks the ball with one second left (to win by 12 instead of 10). Faux Pas or perfectly fine?

ISU vs. KU: Blood, technical fouls and buzzer beaters
Kansas at Iowa State: A game like Saturday's is why we're college basketball fans.www.desmoinesregister.com
We were holding the ball trying to run the clock out and Johnson knocked it out of ISU player's hands and ran down and dunked it. EJ and Self both apologized after the game saying he was caught up in the emotions of the game, but still a **** move.If we were pressing them, game-on.. Has something officially been changed in rules or the application/interpretation of rules?

TAUNTING DEFINITION:
Taunting includes any actions or comments by coaches, players, or spectators which are intended to bait anger, embarrass, ridicule, or demean others, whether or not the deeds or words are vulgar or racist. Included is conduct that berates, needles, intimidates or threatens based on race, gender, ethnic origin or background, and conduct that attacks religious beliefs, size, economic status, speech, family, special needs, or personal matters. Examples of taunting that would lead to ejection include, but are not limited to, ‘trash talk’; physical intimidation outside the spirit of the game; reference to sexual orientation; ‘in the face’ confrontation by one player to another; standing over/straddling a tackled or fallen player. ALL SPORTS: In all sports, officials are to consider taunting a flagrant unsportsmanlike foul that disqualifies the offending bench personnel or contestant from that contest/day of competition (and the next contest/day of competition). ALL IHSAA TOURNAMENTS: At all IHSAA tournament venues, tournament management may give spectators one warning for taunting. Thereafter, spectators who taunt others are to be ejected by security.
(obviously all of that is a judgment call; assume with the intent of keeping altercations at bay and generally fostering a spirit of congenial competition.)
Feel like there were a few instances of "going outside the lines" in Nascar this last (or current?) season. I don't really follow too closely, but a few instances crossed my timeline and it seemed guys were pretty worked up. Perhaps that was an interpretation of the rules issue. And certainly, in that sport, someone playing loose can end up killing someone. My understanding is that as long as they aren't directly taunting a competitor it's not a T.
Osun doing "small" running down court is not directly taunting the competitor. Now if he turned to the competitor and did "small" right in his face then that's a T.
Caleb making a TO sign to the Texas been isn't a T. Benches and players talk **** the entire game. Unless it's a pretty profane or vulgar thing said there isn't going to be a T.
Not sure the rule on fans/student section but imo they aren't competing so shouldn't be able to draw a T unless the player goes Ron Artest on them. No different than Georges blowing a kiss.
Yeah that’s bush league. We were holding the ball trying to run the clock out and Johnson knocked it out of ISU player's hands and ran down and dunked it. EJ and Self both apologized after the game saying he was caught up in the emotions of the game, but still a **** move.

I'm not trying to argue against Omaha or say what he did was wrong. Just trying to determine where the line/s is/are.

Yeah don't let kids have fun
I’m saying they would not be calling him a thug, saying he’s lied about his age, and questioning his academic qualifications if he were a white kid. Don’t be naïve.You think Iowa fans don't like Omaha Biliew because he's black? That's what you're going with?
Iowa fans, saying something racist? NooI’m saying they would not be calling him a thug, saying he’s lied about his age, and questioning his academic qualifications if he were a white kid. Don’t be naïve.
Or if you are the Waukee NW coach and down by 15+ in the 4th quarter, then you pull your starters with 2+ minutes left. Also, "if you don't want the other team showboating when they are kicking your ass, then don't get your ass kicked"
