With baby # 3 on the way, I was reviewing our budget recently our family budget is going to get extremely tight with two kids in daycare for the next couple of years. Any recommendations for any side jobs to help supplement income?

Make sure for any shopping you do, you are utilizing Rakuten ahead of that. If you have good credit and credit card use isn't a big concern - look at where you primarily spend. Amazon? Target? I find having their credit cards beneficial because you get 5% off.

Go through and declutter and sell stuff on FB.

If either of you or especially if you both have the ability to WFH - consider delaying new baby's start into daycare. I was able to extend my maternity leave with my 2nd and between that and husband also being wfh, we were able to keep baby home until he was 6.5 months old. That alone saved about 7k. We had a baby carrier we loved and especially those very early months, baby was content to snooze in that on either of us and could sleep through conversations.
Or even if you have a neighbor kid (or retired neighbor?) who may be around afternoons or summer depending when baby is due - if you pay them for a couple hours a day to take baby for walks or play with them on the baby mat - that could just help delay the period before you start that wallop of infant care costs.

and if either of you feel you are due for promotions/raises - work on that. Document your work successes/good feedback and go armed with that into any performance reviews, pending when you have those.

Feet pics?

Before I moved I was actually making a nice amount of money offering basic car maintenance to my fellow apartment dwellers. Oil changes, breaks, etc are all easy jobs that you can charge a decent hourly rate plus parts while still undercutting shops by a fair bit.

sorry, starting my coffee after cleaning kid nosebleed sheets this AM - thoughts coming as I go back and forth. Make sure any work benefits are being maxed - time off (I know this is your third time but please ask any questions) HR isn't your friend on this and I've counseled several coworkers into asking and asserting their full rights in this space (ha, on topic probably a side passion I should charge for!)

So maxing dependent care (truly BS that hasn't gone up in 3+ years) and if you have an FSA vs HSA, making sure that is funded and you know exactly what you can buy with that money. For example, infant painkillers like Motrin/Tylenol and any menstrual care products now qualify.

Child care expense is a killer for so many families.

My wife and I recently retired and we decided that we'd help our daughter's family by providing all day care for their one year old and help our son's family by providing before/after school care for their two elementary age kids.

It's been a win/win. We get to spend time with our grandkids and save each of our own kids more than $1000/month.
