Hhhmmmm.....sounds interesting. Is this like a set up thing or you just make your way from distiller to distiller on your own?Has anyone done a bourbon trail trip in Kentucky?
Some friends are planning a guys trip in October. Making a long weekend of it. Looking for any do's and don'ts.
TIA.
You can do either.Hhhmmmm.....sounds interesting. Is this like a set up thing or you just make your way from distiller to distiller on your own?
You weren't impressed with the actual bourbon or the Buffalo Trace distilleries tour? You can do either.
I'm no bourbon expert but I wasn't impressed with Blanton's
One of the guys is putting together an itinerary. I think visiting distillers and hopefully some side missions.Hhhmmmm.....sounds interesting. Is this like a set up thing or you just make your way from distiller to distiller on your own?

The actual Bourbon, I've never done the trailYou weren't impressed with the actual bourbon or the Buffalo Trace distilleries tour?
I was told we could rent motorcycles. I suggested getting a driver instead.Loved the bourbon trail, it’s kinda like going wine tasting out west where you pick and choose where you want to stop since there are so many distilleries. I highly reccomend stoping at makers mark as they let you dip your own bottle which is a very cool bar piece/souvenir.
Also get a driver.
That sounds like a horrible idea.I was told we could rent motorcycles. I suggested getting a driver instead.
Looked at your link, 2 of the 3 women that lead it are pregnant. So it must be a pretty fun tripI've done the Bourbon Country Burn ride. Lots if fun too. Different route every year I believe. https://www.bourboncountryburn.com/#what
The tour at Buffalo Trace is just so-so. Historically, it's a neat place, but don't expect to sample any of the high end bourbons they produce. Both Maker's Mark and Woodford tours and contact ahead of time to see what tours are offered and how much they are. I also enjoyed Four Roses and Kentucky Artisan (Jefferson Reserve) tours and a little place in Lexington called Blue Grass Distillery. They are opening a much larger venue soon. The actual Bourbon, I've never done the trail
Yeah this is a shockingly common motorcycle event but still get a driverThat sounds like a horrible idea.
