I've heard talk that JT could end up being a McDonald's All American caliber player. I would not be so sure that he isnt a sure fire instant starter from day 1 time will tell like you said concerning his development. We'd still have Williams too. Fish is going to be that next great culture guy IMO. Also I'd bet we have a transfer big that starts over Rock his first year. Just depends on how much JT develops in two years.
If he ends up being a Mickey D's AA then it's not crazy at all to think he'll start. I'm not worried about his skill it's more his size. He's quite skinny right now right? Obviously that'll change in 2 years though.I've heard talk that JT could end up being a McDonald's All American caliber player. Who is "JT" ?

Don't forget Iowa St will be playing in Maui in 2024, which is a huge recruiting advantage, especially for a one year transfer looking to play his last season somewhere. If and I know it is an enormous if Omaha was to come back for a second year this is a pretty damn impressive lineup on paper from a recruiting perspective for the 2024/2025 season. Keeping in mind Lipsey was a five star recruit prior to his knee injury. From what I have heard we are in a good spot with JT Rock. Incredible what this staff has done.
G - Lipsey (Jr.)
G - Indrusaitis (Fr.)/Hamilton (So.)
F - Momcilovic (So.)
F - Biliew (So.)
C - Rock (Fr.)
Incorporate a high level transfer or two and continued growth from Eli King, Demarion Watson etc you are in business!
Actually he's really not that skinny at all. He looks pretty solid for a junior in HS at 7'0". That's only going to get better too.
Looks like he's already grown into it pretty well! Just watched like 3 highlight videos and he moves incredibly well. Another 2 years and he's going to be incredible. Right now he's listed at #60 in the nation and I honestly think he ends up higher than that.I would want him to just grow in to his body naturally with the way he plays. Not the type of offensive player you want to add a bunch of weight to and mess up his stroke and ball handling.
Won't go pro because his college team is making a week trip to Hawaii?Don't forget Iowa St will be playing in Maui in 2024, which is a huge recruiting advantage, especially for a one year transfer looking to play his last season somewhere.
It could also weigh on Biliew's decision to come back for a 2nd year, if he's on the fence. Great exposure, and a great experience to play out there.
Maui is a big chance for athletes to get their name on draft boards (even though Omaha won’t have that problem). THT and Hali put their names on NBA radars in that tourney.Won't go pro because his college team is making a week trip to Hawaii?

That would be one heck of a core to fill in around for 2024 and beyond. Need some athletes and age now
Hoiberg did not want Woodbury. Is this why Fran takes the Cy-Hawk game so seriously? I can't remember them ever beating out a recruit for us. Possibly Woodbury? We have beaten him out on numerous occasion. Just curious as to what is meant exactly when CW mentioned that the two staffs don't like each other, plus the fact that Fran normally has them really up for the game when they play us.
