because they arent actually lost on an island. the actors are flown there just to film. they probably have plenty of actually food there and in between seasons he is back at home eating cheeseburgers again. sorry if i ruined it for you.

It's filmed on Oahu... only a short drive to McDonalds

The show Title "Lost" really was picked to see if they could lose their viewers by end of the run. They are doing a good job of mixing it up. The time traveling does create some interesting twists.

I do like the time travel, but one thing that has annoyed me is that I care more about the interpersonal relationships, plots and other questions that never are answered like why there is so much overlap of characters in the flashbacks, who are Ben Linus and Mr.Widmore, who are the others, the Dharma initiative, and a bunch of other ones I keep forgetting because of the elecromagnetic and time travel focus. I am sure they are related but it will be interesting to see how.

Something that is confusing me(and I'm sure we'll get an answer on) is that during the season 4 finale we see "Claire" looking over Aaron in Kate's house in the future and Claire says to Kate "You can't bring him back here" - referring to Aaron and the island. So basically the Island is telling Kate(through Claire) that it doesn't want Aaron on the island.

But, since Aaron is one of the 6 people required to go back to the island since according to dead Locke "they weren't supposed to leave" why did the island want them all to stay, yet doesnt want Aaron there? We do know that there is something "special" about Aaron from season 1.

Two possibilities come to mind, and there may be others...

1) Claire isn't speaking for the island but for someone/something else.

2) Claire appeared to Kate in a dream. Maybe it wasn't the island communicating with Kate, but rather Kate's subconscious telling her not to go back to the island. (Sometimes a dream is a just a dream.)

On a side note I can't wait to see where the show goes with Daniel Faraday.... he is easily becoming my favorite character. Also, not sure of her name, but what are speculations of what's wrong with Daniel's girl? My guess is that she dies of an illness in the future and when they travel through time that illness quickly hits her? Or possibly that the time travel takes a tole on ones body...

They've shown that sickness before. George Menkowski(sp?) dies from it on the freighter and Desmond almost dies from it. It's from when you are time traveling and you don't have a constant - your brain gets scrambled.

Yep, it was the lady in the jewelry store that was telling Desmond he wouldnt marry Penny. This was when Desmond time travelled for the first time and he wanted to change things.

I'm also guessing that she is Farraday's mom that he told Desmond to go visit.

I have never watched Lost, but I have seen Days of Our Lives once and this sounds like something that would happen in Days of Our Lives.

That's true, but if that is what is going on, why do none of the other characters have it? It is strange that it is unique to her.

Nice work... that's definitely correct, thanks. I'm guessing Whitmore is responsible for trying to get the DNA test from Kate, possibly even Ben?

Yeah, thanks. Any thoughts? It is kind of weird, and I wonder if it is related to the fact that at the end of last season Miles alluded to Charlotte being back on the island.

Yep, I remember that. She also alluded to the face that she was "still looking for where she was born." - The island imo.

I was thinking that it was setup by Ben in order to get Kate to feel like she had to go back to the island because she could never have a normal life.

I wouldn't be surprised if it was Whiddmore/Sun either.

What about Daniels journal? Is it from the future?

I don't think so. They show that journal back in the past(late 90's?) when Desmond finds his constant. That's the same journal he writes in that Desmond is now his constant. Then later on in the episode he looks at his journal (during the present day island time) and sees what he had written about Desmond in it.

Can you refresh my memory on the whole Desmond constant thing?

Well, remember when Desmond gets blown out of the hatch when he turns the fail safe key and he starts to see Charlie dying all the time? Because of that, he was exposed to high level of electro-magnetism. When he is in the helicoptor flying to the freightor his mind time travels back in to the past/and his mind from the past goes to the future.

So in the future, his past mind doesn't know who Sayid is when they are on the freighter. In the meantime, his future mind doesnt understand why he's in the past. Basically, he goes and visits Farraday in the past and learns about the time traveling. Farraday tells him he needs a constant (someone that he knows during both periods - Penny). Once he finds his constant, he overcomes the "sickness" that was setting in.

Farrada, in the past then writes in his journal that Desmond will be his constant, should it ever happen to him.
