Completely agree. Green wouldn't get drafted next season even if he made first team All-Big 12. He'd also be a year older which would lower his stock even more.

Nobody thought Brockington was a possible pro until playing at Iowa State for one year. So you never know. If he lighted it up at Iowa State it definitely could have helped. Oh well guess we will never know

No one mentions Lipsey. I know he’s small but what I saw of him in high school, I found encouraging. I guess people think we need points out of our point given our atrocious offense, but certainly feel like he could be a good facilitator. I felt anxious when most of last year’s team attempted dribbling except Hunter and Brockington and Tre.
Yep, we have an outstanding freshman class of 3, and it looks like we need just one of them to step up. That's not a terrible spot to be in.

Just baffled at some of the guys that decided to return who would have been projected higher than AJ.

I get having pro aspirations but it just feels like those aspirations have to be over seas at this point.

He’ll get hooked up on a summer league team for sure but I’m not sure it’ll go further than that.
Kris Murray for one.

And nobody still thinks that. He didn’t even get a G league combine invitation. So now compare what IZB did vs P6 competition against what AJG did vs MVC competition and explain to me why one of them is confident in their NBA chances and the other one has no shot.

I say we pick Green up in a couple years when ESPN merges G league with what use to be amateur college basketball.

Then NBA really isn’t an option and AJ will play for the Cyclones. I’m not betting on AJ Green being B12 POY. But like his odds to be All Big 12.
Lead Iowa State in scoring while leading them to great success in the Big 12 and Final Four. That would be Player of the Year Big 12 most likely and All American. His draft stock would rise.
Williams and Blum Podcast likely Wednesday. Expect good news.

From the beginning, it was going to take really negative feedback for him to come out of the draft so I'm not at all surprised. Everybody at UNI was borderline shocked he even went into the portal.

The Pacers workout went great and he's got an additional meeting with them as well as a second workout with the Hawks scheduled. I know things went really well with the Bucks too.

AJ is an NBA player as Spencer Petras is an NFL QB…

I’m still miffed by the decision… I think we can almost all agree that AJ will NOT get drafted. Can you make it in the NBA without getting drafted? Of course. We’ve heard of Ben Wallace, Fred Van Fleet, Udonis Haslem, and those old enough to remember—John Starks. All of whom had somewhat lengthy stays in the league. But those odds aren’t great. Most that go undrafted, have a cup of coffee in the league and disappear. His dream was the NBA and not an overseas journeyman correct?

Not that it means a whole lot, but I didn’t see him in any of the two round mocks.

It's Lindell Wigginton all over again. Maybe in a year or 2 AJ will have a 2-way deal carved out with someone.
