Reviews are shockingly VERY good for the new Scream movie. I'm going tonight and cannot wait. I was a freshman at ISU when the first one came out (can you believe it's been 25 years?!) and loved the original. The sequels were fine to not very good. But this new one many are saying is right up there with the original. Will report back!

Final trailer:

I'd like to see it, I wish it was streaming.

Might have to go to the theater for the first time since December of 2019

I loved the original, but Matthew Lillard really makes movies age poorly and I even like the guy.

Even Lillard couldn't stop She's All That from being great though, but Freddie Prinze Jr.'s hackey sack scene did. I still love it and watch it every time it's on.

It's really good. Really smart. Makes fun of itself and how Hollywood has no original ideas so they just keep rebooting franchises. VERY violent. It might be the second best behind the original. Worth checking out for sure.

Taking my kids to it tonight- they saw the original a couple of years ago and loved it. My son even went to Halloween as ghost face last year. We’ve been looking forward to this release for awhile. It would’ve been nice to have an October release, but if the move is good- it won’t matter.

Freddie’s free form slam poetry scene about the pressures of being a rich kid with expectations might be the cringiest scene ever shot.

I don’t get the Lillard hate, I always enjoyed the guy and he was extremely type casted In those days.

He's great in the FANTASTIC George Clooney movie The Descendents
