There's another thread on this. Including info here on THT's COVID test for the record. I hope he clear soon. Matt can be out by DEC 18, as I understand.

Another one with its own thread elsewhere.

Dang. That leaves Hali and Monte still active. They'll still play more minutes than all the Hawkeyes in the NBA :)

It looks like Georges is going to be on JJ Redick's podcast and the promo piece that they're putting out first - at least on Youtube - is him talking about getting poster-ized by John Collins. I love his ability to laugh about himself and his athleticism. This clip is about 2.5 mins - I assume that this is recorded before he was sent to quarantine purgatory.

Love this thread, so to keep it going strong suggest to just ignore any Covid protocol news.

THT thread did ok, Georges thread not so much.
I definitely don't want it to get bogged down in all of that. But when Georges wins his first natty as ISU's coach, this thread is going to be valuable for researchers looking to understand Cyclone Nation's affection for him :) So I feel key events throughout the season need to be included for posterity.

Those other threads can be useful for researchers in the future trying to figure out when and how public health matters became so politicized.

The Nuggets had a not-very-close loss to the T'wolves to fall back to .500. They can't seem to get 2 games over .500; and they would certainly be more potent with Porter and Murray in the lineup.

Monte continued his streak of efficient games albeit with some turnovers. His line: 32 MIN, 15 PT, 6-10 FG, 3-5 3PT, 5 AST, 1 STL and 4 TO. He's brought his 3PT % up to 37% after his cold start to the season.

Speaking of cold, Haliburton was as chilly as a Wisconsin winter from deep last night. But he still stuffed the stat sheet in a good win against Washington: 36 MIN, 8 PT, 4-12 FG,0-6 3PT, 8 REB, 9 AST, 3 STL, 3 BLK and 3 TO.

Johnny Orr's first recruit's kid had 19 for the Kings.

The COVID thing has become part of their story and anytime there's a lot of discussion of it, it gets cavish quick.

I'm looking forward to hearing this whole podcast with Georges (plus, it could be the only Niang content we get for a couple weeks):

Two things:
Kudos to Monte for getting my son to do his homework. I told him he couldn't watch his favorite team (DEN) and his favorite player (Tae) until he got his homework done and I wasn't recording it.
At least one of those turnovers was a beyond weak offensive foul call when Monte wasn't even setting a screen but a defender tripped over him. WEAK.

Tyrese talks about Steph and 3-pt shooters with JJ Redick. I love the Niang jersey in the background.

If you haven't listened to the JJ Redick "Old man and the three" podcast this week which has segments with Georges AND Tyrese (recorded separately). this is a pretty funny story about Georges appearing at the Fareway in Ames in September.

The only 2 active Cyclones put up good scoring numbers last night, 1 in a win and 1 in a loss.

The Nuggets-Hawks score looked like a Denver score from the Issel-English days, a 133-116 win. Denver is 15-14 and doesn't seem to be able to move multiple games over .500 so far.

Big Game's big game: 25 MIN, 21 PT, 8-13 FG, 3-5 3PT, 3 REB, 2 AST, 1 STL and 0 TO.

As @HFCS noted, Monte has been a consistent offensive force of late. His averages for 9 games this month: 16.8 PPG, 54% FG, 46% 3PT

The Kings hung with Memphis in the first half but took the L. Tyrese had a double-double. He scored 20 for just the 2nd time this season. After a slow shooting start, he has raised his 3PT % to 40%.

Matt Thomas is eligible today to come back from COVID protocols but so far, does not seem to have done so. Missing a negative COVID test?
