Transfers and de-commits

So I am reading more and more that Freyler was actually taking his snaps at that position by the TCU game? Is this true?

This would make sense. That likely wouldn’t sit well with Isheem. He probably wants to go where he can be assured a starting spot.

I thought Isheem was a stud for us, but maybe his performance dipped late. We were pretty bad against the pass late in the season.

Weren't great in the middle of the back end about the whole season.

Statiscally up there for pass yards given up but some big pass plays at bad times.

That's not just a Young thing...just how it was.

Yes, I honestly thought Isheem was hurt towards the end of year and thats why he wasnt playing, obviously couldve been that coaches thought they were a better team w freyler on field

Something turned this team into a 7-5 also ran. Maybe this is a housecleaning.
A lot of the guys leaving were 2nd and 3rd stringers at positions that struggled at times. I assume we will find some guys who will transfer to ISU to take their place. There are going to be a lot of spots in the starting lineup that are up for grabs next season. Much like OU had going into this season.

I don't care why he is leaving. It is a blow regardless.

I do care about NIL/transfer rule impacts and possible staff changes. Could this be a sign of those? Yes and it should be speculated about.
Speculation is one thing, but people stating it as fact and using it to call out people who don't agree with them on the subject is BS. There has been plenty of that already.

Can someone talk me off the ledge here...

This couldn't be because players and recruits know something about Campbell moving on, could it? Lots of silence from him.
Think about it this way: if Young declared for the draft and Horne and King transferred out - we’d be saying “good for Ish, the others were recruited over”.

Young apparently decided that a year at a “blue blood” would help his draft chances - and the others were recruited over.

the sky isn’t falling (yet)

That you think* We literally just saw it in basketball guys left who we had penciled in a big time contributors. Sometimes they see the writing on the wall before us.

Look I don’t mind you looking at this through rose glasses. However, with the crap ton of players we lose with graduation and now transfer, this isn’t good. This isn’t basketball where you can just plug in a couple transfers and compete. We need guys even for second and third string in football with injuries and so on.

I dont think guys who played only half the game leaving for their best interest is a sign of anything but exactly that, their best interest.

I've also wondered if for some of them, the "re-recruitment" process is appealing....especially if not sought after but now may have more interest from others.
