NoYeah but there were offensive guys moving and still getting set when that ball was snapped so they just as easily could've been flagged. Is there a :10 second runoff rule in HS?

Chains don’t have to be set, ref can foot mark it. Ref wound it, they snapped and spiked it, whistle blew and clock read 2 seconds when the whistle blew.If the chains weren’t set, how did the clock start, burning up the final 2 seconds? /thinking man emoji/
I mean, here’s how it should happen: clock stops with the first down; officials spot the ball; when chains set, wind the clock; QB instantly spikes the ball.
(This is assuming no rule like CFB that prevents a spike under 3 seconds.)
YesSo GC should've intentionally committed a penalty before the clock ran out.
Because they screwed up twice. Just Informed the spike was legal and there is no 3 second rule in HS. They did t flag due to thinking there was. They either needed to give the spike or call a false start. Refs took what could have been very entertaining for a last play and handed it to west Hancock. There was no flag.
Lewis Central #11 having dropped pass issues that drive and then Lewis Central misses the FG.
Physically or size of school?Lewis Central is a lot bigger than Xavier
Would think IHSAA would or maybe even UNI.Got me thinking, who provides the clock operator? I know one of the teams provides the chain crew, do they provide clock people also?
