Not exactly sure.
If the chains weren’t set, how did the clock start, burning up the final 2 seconds? /thinking man emoji/

I mean, here’s how it should happen: clock stops with the first down; officials spot the ball; when chains set, wind the clock; QB instantly spikes the ball.

(This is assuming no rule like CFB that prevents a spike under 3 seconds.)
Chains don’t have to be set, ref can foot mark it. Ref wound it, they snapped and spiked it, whistle blew and clock read 2 seconds when the whistle blew.

America
Some really good champ games this year. Seems like lots of years it’s mostly blowouts.

That college football 3 second rule is the dumbest ******* rule I've ever heard of. Whoever thought that should be a rule should be fired

There was no flag.
Because they screwed up twice. Just Informed the spike was legal and there is no 3 second rule in HS. They did t flag due to thinking there was. They either needed to give the spike or call a false start. Refs took what could have been very entertaining for a last play and handed it to west Hancock.

Lewis Central #11 having dropped pass issues that drive and then Lewis Central misses the FG.

The blindside block was an awful call also. Kid was standing still, braced himself and the other team ran into him. That is not a penalty
