That was some scary ****. We live in Monticello and had a tornado west of town that fell apart right as it got to the edge of town. Sub pump was running and the wind still probably blew 50, but man that was not cool

The warning for SW Marshall county that was near Baxter was about 3 miles north of my house. I was working on the racecar, heard the warning come across the radio and looked outside, holy **** it looked wild just north of me. I went to the goat pen to keep them calm as the wind picked up and crazy clouds went by. Then after the wind passed it poured for about 2 hours and we got 2 3/8" of rain.

Wish I could have gotten half that rain.

Still hot. Proved it to myself trying to shoot WWII planes flying at a local airshow yesterday. Was looking through images and a lot of them were not very sharp because of heat distortion. As if standing out in the no shade for a mile was not enough.

Not loving that it's looking like we'll be directly in the path of a possible (likely?) Derecho tonight. Have bigger concerns but also have Tomato plants loaded with fruit right now just starting to turn
