Please don't start this argument againTJ is Prohm Lite. Prohm had a better resume when he was hired than TJ does now.
Do not want the scraps from the last time ISU went through a coaching search.

Not even close.TJ is Prohm Lite. Prohm had a better resume when he was hired than TJ does now.

I hate to agree with you but I do. Shows how patient we are with coaches and saves money in the war chest to keep campbell. Although I don't think he is turning it around..Wait one year and buy him out next year...come out $5,000,000 ahead. Maybe he turns it around and you don't have buy him out at all.
IU is not terrible...their biggest conference losses were 16 and 19 points to top 10 teams, and they did beat Iowa twice. Around half of their losses were single-digit. This was a tough year for established programs.
The conversation was talking about Miller, but thanks for the reminder as to why I generally ignore anything you post.Seriously. Anyone that suggests we should keep Prohm for any reason needs to logout of CF.
Fact - TJ is still a sub .500 coach at UNLV.
Fact - ISU can and should do better than TJ as our next coach.
They’re talking about Archie Miller, not ProhmYou looked Wrong. Again. Here.

Nice try. No, their best player last year, as this year, was Bryce Hamilton. A player Oztelberger inherited from the previous staff.TJ had 6 transfers that first year. Elijah Mitrou-Long was the best. Mitrou-Long went down with a severe injury just before the Mountain West Conference Tournament. That injury to their best player proved too much and UNLV lost in the Conference Tournament.
I think he’s too stupid to realize that there aren’t Prohm bros. There is just a huge majority of the fan base that doesn’t want a substandard coach like TJ.The TJ bros are right there too.
Prohm's problem is that he has a secret book of amazing sets that he refuses to use because it would utterly destroy the other coach. He's too much of a good guy.I think we should keep Prohm. The dark before the dawn. The calm before the storm. He’s just in it for the long play.
5-33 in conf over the last two years with all 5 of those wins coming last year, just says that you are not correct.I wouldn’t say Prohm had a better when he was hired than TJ has now, but Prohm has a better resume now than TJ has now.

Agree. Hiring a coach coming off a losing season in the weak Mountain West Conference is a bad look.TJ is Prohm Lite. Prohm had a better resume when he was hired than TJ does now.

We really need some news to mercifully end this thread.
Your assuming the donor doesn’t just keep it in their bank account which is what likely happens if they don’t do the buyout. No, that's not at all what I think.
I think the university should have told the donor that the coach has only had one losing season so far out of four (in the pandemic year nonetheless), so said donor could do much more good spending that $10,000,000 helping out those hurting in said donor's community, because next year, IU can buy out the coach (if it becomes necessary) for 1/3 of that amount.
Indiana is a public university. The AD is probably self-supporting, but it is still part of the university, who has a duty to serve the public. Is the public best served by giving one university employee (who shouldn't need it if he's managed his finances properly) generational wealth in order to fire him, when there are a bunch of people who need help covering their basic living expenses while they wait to get their jobs back?
This is just absolutely moronic. Prohm had a better resume when he was hired than he does now. It didn’t have P5 experience but optimism and potential is better than seeing the turd that is Prohms time here.I wouldn’t say Prohm had a better when he was hired than TJ has now, but Prohm has a better resume now than TJ has now.
