Every morning I get up and check CF to see if the game is still on.....

Our last COVID-19 data release we had a grand total of two student-athletes test positive iirc—despite the irresponsibility of so many of their fellow students.

I think our staff is doing a great job maintaining the bubble. We’ll see how Louisiana holds up their end.

CW's article's title starts with 'We Made It...' so naturally, we won't make it.

I don't know that I'll ever shake my defeatist Cyclone disposition...

"And the Cyclones take the lead late in the 4th quarter with an 80 yard run from Breece Hall!!!.....Attention viewers, we are hearing from the officials that a coffee cup in the tailgating lots has tested positive for COVID-19. ISU will forfeit the game, the season is now cancelled, and all fans must pay a fine of $1000."

I've wondered all this week but Chris had an article saying it's on. Cautiously optimistic

That's such a weird way of framing it. The game has been "on" since August 12. We know they will play as long as both teams meet the criteria the Big 12 announced last week.

I've just seen a couple people refer to it as "on," and thought it was odd. Do you think all of the Big 12 announcements were just posturing?

We were in a drought all summer. Then game week shows up and it's monsoon season. The life of a Cyclone.

I guess ISU is just as much of a poser as EIU with their ANF BS. If we're really "actually helping farmers" we would schedule football games throughout the summer to guarantee rain for the crops. But, no. We only play in the Fall. Pretty selfish honestly.

This deserves a Rainbow, just because—but I went with “Creative”.

Feel like Campbell has the team locked down and being more careful than KU. Les seems less in control.
Talking with a couple of people in Ames, it seems like the team has bought it and is locked down. The coaching staff obviously had their rules but the players have taken it even further, outside of a straggler or two.

There will be a game and the coronabros will be voicing their displeasure.

And the tough guy coronabros will be walking around Fred Durst style like they had anything to do with it.

Total normalcy.

Literally no one here is complaining about playing the games with no fans lmfao, corona deniers are complaining more about the myth of anti-football coronobros here than are actual anti-football coronabros.

If it helps, I’ll complain about playing the game with no fans.

It’s overreacting. We needed to prove that we can successfully be responsible, have a game, social distance and wear masks like we’re supposed to without a huge contagion erupting.

That satisfy both side of this weird “coronabro” argument—or am I going to have to google just what a coronabro is?

I'm perfectly comfortable letting other games have fans in and seeing how their events go. If it goes well, we can always revisit the policy. If it goes poorly, we look proactive and focused on playing games.

Just play football. Do what's necessary to run the season. That's it. All else is irrelevant.

When I saw a thread about the ULL message boards pop up, I was worried that there were rumors of a bunch of a postponement due to positive tests. Luckily, it was just about how confident they were for the game.

Wait, which side are the coronabros?

Both depends on who you talk to.

If I wear a mask into a store, and get a little head shake from 1998 local high school graduate backwards baseball cap guy, I can't help but think 'coronabro'.

Apparently simply questioning about the basis for anything any more means you hate it.
