I'm so pumped for this as a Yankees fan. I bet tickets are going to be expensive but if I can snag two for my dad and I who are both yankee fans I'm going to.

I hope you get to go with your dad. Don't care for either team, but it would be an awesome experience.

Don't like either team, but that is a "homerun" of an idea. Awesome for the sport, the movie, the state. Really cool to read this. Every once in awhile the world gets it right.

Kevin Costner better be able to sit behind home plate.

Did they put up fences and is it big enough? I have been there and don't see how they can set up a MLB game in that place. It's pretty cool though

Read they will modify it to seat 8,000. I'm sure they'll have to spend to do quite a bit to make it MLB compliant, but I also hope they keep the corn visible as the outfield. There is no warning track currently, so I'm sure they'll have to put that in with a lower fence ect. I hope articles come out in the coming weeks detailing all the changes.

They aren't using the field at all. They're building a totally separate 8000 seat temporary stadium.

This is still cool but way, way less cool that it could have been.

All they had to do was trim the corn back about 25 feet and redo the infield to make it MLB compliant.

Explains it a lot more now.

Makes sense to build a separate as you'd have to change the original so much it wouldn't be what it's mean to be anymore.

Boy idk what tickets might end up costing but I’m gonna try like hell to go. I have a feeling it might be kind of be sort of super bowlish in that you need to have business connections to get in.

Yeah I wonder how many Iowans will actually get to go. Probably have to have an "in" to sniff a chance.

Think Final Four, only more. Lot's more since only 8,000 and no nose bleeds.
