Curious about student seating. I watch some Big 12 games (like last night), but usually not interested in most of the other schools.

I think ISU does it right, seats students behind the goals. Saves the prime courtside seat for high donors.

I noticed KSU student section had prime seats along the court (opposite of benches). I know KU puts their students in the baseline.

What is typical for other Big 12 schools? Surly, no donors to buy those seats?

I liked what someone proposed. They should get rid of the upper deck student section and add the moveable seats to the the student section. Would probably take some maneuvering to get the standing students low enough though.

If it ain't broke....
I agree and I’m not pushing for a change. I think that could make it a bit better though. I really like Michigan States student section. It looks more intimidating. I also think that sometimes students up top aren’t as in to it because they are farther away. I hated the couple times I got stuck up theee because a lot of them didn’t want to stand.

When Bramlage was built a student fee was voted to support construction. In exchange was an allotment for the student section which was always shorted in old Ahearn Fieldhouse. To this day, that section remains for the student body.

Bramlage is a couple thousand seats too large. It's seldom completely full - every seat taken. Like football, there's a right-size. Bramlage isn't. Too big. People have to fly in, come from KC, Wichita and even further to fill it up. 10,000 would have been perfect.

When built, times were really different down here. K-State was almost exclusively a basketball school. That's not the case today. Football rules.
