If Lindell is playing PG, we are in trouble. Hope Prohm finds a real PG.
I don’t think LW will make the NBA. He HAS to play PG there and it isn’t a natural position for him. He is a combo guard.
Afraid Prohm is going to try to force fit him as a PG. Our future success will depend on if we can find a “Blaylock” to match LW’s “Stinson”.
LW is the classic great college player but not convinced it translates to the NBA. He will make good money playing b-ball somewhere though.

-yes I know this is an opinion only
-yes I know he is only a freshman
-yes I could be proven wrong
-yes I love that LW is a Cyclone
-yes I trust Coach Prohm

yes you made all these negative posts the last six years when we went to the tourney every year.

I read that as a guy that played his heart out tonight and has bought into what coach Prohm is saying. Maybe that is him stepping up to take a leadership role and calling out some of his teammates who aren't buying in.
No, he's the opposite of a leader. Leaders don't call out their teammates, without naming names, to the press. Scream all you want in the locker room or at practice - but talking to the media about your gripes about your teammates is selfish and self-serving.

He didn't name names so he didn't take any direct shots at teammates. He is sending a message that certain people need to buy in more and give better effort.

I think he voiced some frustration, which I can appreciate more than someone who pretends everything is great or really only cares about personal stats and not W's & L's.

Hopefully Wigginton, Shayok, Solo, Babb and Talley are sick of losing and ready to take it up a few levels next year with the help of some talented freshmen.

Right, but things get dicey when guys that are part of the problem start making comments. Prohm has a lot of work to do this summer.

Do you think Lindell is the biggest problem? Hell, maybe he was calling out himself last night. And if it is Jackson, it really doesn't matter because we have one game left.

I know you hate Prohm and think that a team down two starters should win every game, but there's no need to act like an *******.
Am I crazy or did this used to be a board you could express an opinion without being insulted?

Why do you think Wigginton is part of the problem?

Frankly, even if he is part of the problem, he at least realizes there IS a problem. That's progress.

Because he’s part of the team. More specifically, he’s the highest usage guy with a significantly low efficiency despite being very talented.

He’s part of the problem. Hopefully he’s also part of the solution.

He's also a freshman that has been shoved into a role (point guard) that he clearly wasn't ready for.

So you'd rather no one say anything about the effort and listening to the coach since they are all part of the problem?

I watched the game last night, just looked at the box score. I didn't realize Beverly had 15 rebounds.

He's had some nice games I've appreciated that he just keeps playing no matter what role he's supposed to fill or how much he is or isn't playing. Can't say I've gotten the impression that he's ready to be done.

And many of the others have reasons for poor play. The position change to pg was inconsequential as the usage and low efficiency marks were bad prior to that. We’re not talking about kicking them off the team, but accessing what needs to change. I suspect Wigginton will.

I don’t care that Wigginton made the comments, but I don’t think the narrative is correct. People like CW that eat up the remarks and spend time analyzing Lard’s facial expressions or perspiration are distracting themselves.
