The last meet of the regular season is coming up on Sunday as the Hawkeyes come to town and with them the usual pressing question of "WHAT IS HE DOING REF?!?!?!" and if you check around Hilton you'll find that there are already a few fans in the parking lots chanting "STALLING"

If confronted, just smile and say "He's backing up!" or "His head is on the mat!" and that should pacify all but the most confused tavern hawk.

Whatever happened with Downey? I'm tempted to go sadly to watch Spencer Lee. The kid is the real deal.

Hoping to get 6

We'll be favored at 133 and 141 as long as Parker is healthy so that's totally doable. It's just that where Iowa is favored they are really, really, really favored. There are 2, maybe 3 other matches where we have a realistic shot short of a freak pin.

Downey got his degree at Iowa State and got accepted into Iowa grad school. Then it gets fuzzy as to why he got denied eligibilty.

I'm hoping Simmons, Parker, and Colbray all win. As for the others, hoping they keep it close and fight for 7 minutes.

Here's our path to pulling the Upset Of The Century: Briggs gets teched instead of pinned; Simmons and Parker both win with one of them getting a major, we're up 7-5. 149 and 157 we don't give up bonus and 165 we only give up a major; Now we're down 15-7 and Bush gets a funky pin (remember West Virginia?). Dane pulls out a close one (very possible). Now we're up 16-15. Colbray wins and Harrington loses by decision. ISU 19, Iowa 18.

I’ll be shocked if Briggs isn’t pinned.

This may be a dumb question but any way they would bump Lee up to 33?

If Parker is still out I guess they could do that if they wanted to blank us. But we could respond in kind by forfeiting 133 and bumping Simmons up (He wouldn't be a sure win at 141 but he'd have a hell of a lot better shot there than he would against Lee).
