RECRUITING: Iowa State hosting Tyler Harris this weekend

Just mostly wonder what value there was to your tweet. IMO there was none.

These guys do watch Twitter closely. They're at the first time in their lives people are really paying attention to them. I work with these kids at camps and can assure you that putting **** out there like this pisses them off.

If you are looking for value in tweets you are doing twitter wrong. He's not going to do it again and there's no reason for scolding him. If he doesn't come to ISU due to that particular tweet we don't want him.

-- We do want him and that tweet won't affect him. The kid is <6' and he's worked to be a top 100 basketball player. I'm going to go out on a limb and say that he can overcome a harmless tweet.

Honestly I disagree, I use to feel this way but since having a 247 account my opinion has changed. Alex Halsted does an amazing job with getting info and writing articles for both football and basketball. You also from time to time get national recruiting journalists that will post on the board too that gives you a perspective from a non Iowa State fan to show how a recruiting battle is going down.

Also a huge plus is there are no Iowa trolls. Also there are a lot less huge freakout.

To piggy-back off of this, you sort of get info on certain kids that's not publicly known (about their recruitment). It helps sort out who's actually worth keeping an eye on or not. Now, if you don't really care about recruiting all that much, then there probably isn't that much benefit to you.

Seriously everyone, stop talking about me and derailing this thread. I do not want this attention. Especially over something that I see as not a big deal. I was out the country, came back and saw people saying Harris really wanted a Florida offer so I tweeted asking my followers if that was true, and based off what some people said, I included a negative prediction in the tweet saying we won't get him. I never critique what any of you guys post and I easily could but I don't see the value in that. Just let it be and move on. People don't want to read this stuff. Do those people a favor. (Rant over)

We've offered several 2018 PG's in the last month, but I firmly believe that Harris is our #1 target.
