Just read that the Azubuije kid that KU signed is only 16 and is already 7 ft 270 pounds and is expected to grow 1-2 more inches. That kid is going to be scary to go against his sophomore year.

Or scary skinny, awkward, and have a bunch of health issues. Like almost every other big man. For every Dwight Howard there are a dozen Greg Odens or Sam Bowies.

We'll see I watched him play a couple of weeks ago, Self isn't above sitting him early if he isn't ready.
Azubuije isn't too coordinated yet, reminded me a lot of Rico Gathers, big body who can rebound but of course taller lot of potential. Not a knock it is rare for a 7 footer to be fully coordinated and comfortable at 17.
The announcers did mention that due to his age he will be at KU for 2 years (need to be 19 to declare for the NBA I believe), he'll be an issue once Self trusts him.

That's why I said his sophomore year. I don't think he will play much this coming year. I think he will need to get in better shape and he needs some developing like you said.

OU's Manyang apparently indefinetly suspended for assaulting a former OU football player. The OU boards think he'll be kicked off the team as a result.

Skinny? He is 270, not 170. He needs to drop 10-20 pounds before the season starts.
