What the **** are you even talking about? I don't think you even know

What she's talking about is that the pro TJ supporters on this website and others tend to drop a lot of cryptic and negative stuff about the hoops program. I don't know if it's directly from TJ, or these people just tend to be negative in general.

I remain amazed at the amount of loose lips in both the basketball program and the Athletics Department in general. And never know if the source is real or just really speculating anyway. The ladies' group at church is more tight lipped.

Yep. I'm not even saying all of it isn't true. But it always just hits me the wrong way. And I'm sure it isn't good for the program. And I don't think it benefits TJ.

Exactly. Almost in the same manner the GMAC groupies did back in the day.

Sounding more and more like done deal per Hines and Goodman tweets.

Still....SDSU?? That's an upgrade over a asst position at ISU. Oh well. TJ's bounced around a lot the last few years. Gotta hurt his chances w bigger jobs.

Just got an email from the athletic department up here at SDSU.

Said they will be announcing their head coaching hire at 3pm tomorrow.

I'm assuming TJ thinks he needs to get Head Coach experience before he can land a "bigger" job someday.

I tend to agree with this. It's pretty easy to explain that he swung and missed at the HC job here, but it does look like he bounced around. He will either have to build a perennial winner at SDSU or just have a helluva first couple seasons there to be in contention for a P5 job.

Him bouncing around as an assistant is meaningless now. If he wins, he'll get bigger opportunities. If he doesn't, he'll be back as an assistant for a P5 program in the Midwest.

Ha, not true at all.

A HC job is almost always better than an assistant job. Its not like he is going to wartburg. He is taking over a tournament team from last year that almost upset Maryland.

Wouldn't be surprised to see Ashton go with him. Good for TJ but sucks for ISU. I hope he succeeds.
Hopefully Prohm can find a quality replacement to recruit the Midwest. TJ recruited almost the whole team that ISU has. The good thing is Prohm will hit the recruiting trail hard which could make up for the fact it may take a little but to find replacement and this is a big recruiting period.

Trying hard to polish a turd. SDSU isn't a P5 or even considered a Mid Major. Someone pointed this out a few pages back.

That is silly ... a HC job at most D1 schools (whether it is a P5 school or not) IS a better job than most P5 assistant jobs. Why do you think these assistants do the job? Certainly not for the money.

They are solidly mid-major BTW.

who cares? If he wants the job, I'm glad for him that he got it.

Meh, I'm looking at this as an ISU fan. Be nice if he wouldn't have bailed on us twice now. Probably could be on to a better job now if he had not left for WSU or waited a year or two here.

Good for him if he wants to be a head coach. Just not gonna let people convince me SDSU is really a good school to be proud of losing our assistants to. Heck, their last head coach made less than TJ did as an asst.

Bailed on us? Dude got passed over for the HC job and then STAYED to be an assistant for the guy who beat em out for the job. Look its a loss for ISU, but if you think these assistants are going to pass up HC jobs because of less money or their love of ISU, you are delusional. A HC job at a D1 school is the best thing for TJ in the long run.

In case you forgot the one guy who loves ISU as much as the fans left too. Its a business.

Also if our assistants are getting HC jobs, its a good thing in the long run for the program.
